🌊🎶 Smiles, movement, and a little “Surfin’ Safari!” 🎶🌊

Joy filled the room as participants gathered for the debut of our Omi Interactive Board at the Adult Day Health (ADH) center. What began with curiosity quickly turned into laughter as colorful beach balls floated across the screen—inviting everyone to jump in with sweeping arm movements and gentle gestures.

Together, participants brushed the beach balls away, revealing a familiar surprise underneath: The Beach Boys, perfectly timed with the opening notes of “Surfin’ Safari.” The smiles said it all. 💙

The Omi Interactive Board is an award‑winning, touch‑activated technology designed to enrich dementia care and spark meaningful engagement. At ADH, it supports cognitive stimulation, memory recall, relaxation, and emotional well‑being—through movement, music, visuals, and play.

What makes Omi truly special is its accessibility and flexibility. Responsive to even the smallest motion, it encourages gentle physical activity, hand‑eye coordination, and participation for people of all abilities. Staff can easily bring activities to participants wherever they feel most comfortable, creating personalized, empowering experiences.

From interactive quizzes and group games to calming nature scenes and therapeutic sounds, the Omi Board brings people together—fostering connection, laughter, and moments of pure joy.

🙏 Thank you to our generous donors and supporters for making this possible through the Providence Community Health Foundation Napa Valley. Your support is helping us create brighter, more engaging days for those we serve.

Children often process grief in ways that differ from teenagers and adults. They may lack the vocabulary or emotional maturity to articulate their feelings. Some might seem fine initially, but later show signs of regression, such as thumb-sucking or bed-wetting. Additionally, physical symptoms like changes in appetite, sleep issues, headaches, and stomachaches are common manifestations of grief in children.

Tender Steps is a specialized program designed for children aged 5-10 to help them cope with grief. This initiative is brought to you by Providence Community Health Napa Valley in collaboration with Cope Family Center. The next session it tomorrow:

🌿 Discover the Power of Horticultural Therapy at our Adult Day Health Program! 🌿

Spring has sprung here in the Napa Valley and participants in our horticultural therapy program are busy in the garden.
Spending time in the garden can boost wellness in some amazing ways. Here, horticultural therapy isn’t just a hobby—it’s a meaningful, research‑backed approach to supporting older adults in mind, body, and spirit.

Here’s why our participants love it:

🌱 Keeps the Mind Active
Planting, watering, and nurturing living things help stimulate memory, focus, and problem‑solving skills.

🌼 Improves Mood & Reduces Stress
Nature has a calming effect that can ease anxiety, reduce agitation, and support emotional well‑being.

💪 Encourages Gentle Physical Activity
Gardening movements—like reaching, digging, or potting—help maintain strength, coordination, and mobility.

🤝 Builds Community & Connection
Working together in the garden brings people closer, sparks conversation, and helps create lasting friendships.

🌷 Promotes Purpose & Joy
Caring for a plant from seed to bloom fosters pride, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

We love seeing our participants thrive—just like the gardens they care for. 🌞💚

Here’s to growing wellness together!
