Certified Medical Assistant 🩺
Job description:
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Assist with patient education and provide information on medical conditions and treatment plans
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in patient care techniques and procedures
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience with medication administration and basic life support measures
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recording patient information and administering medications
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and instruments for examinations and procedures
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Certification:
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other recognized certifying body

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
