Breathing is one the most crucial functions that we perform everyday. Much like food is information, every breath we take can have a positive or negative effect on our overall health.

When we excessively breathe through our mouth we put ourselves at increased risk for cardiovascular complications, dental and oral health issues, cognition and memory related issues, and growth and development problems related to the development of the airway, jaw, and detention.
Many of these complications arise due to the limited production of NO, increased blood pressure, and sympathetic arousal that constantly keeps the brain in a state of fight or flight.
