Meet the Team

GABRIEL A. CARDENAS, MFT, BILINGUAL IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH

Gabriel’s greatest asset is his ability to work effectively with INDIVIDUALS—both MEN and WOMEN—consumed with life’s problems, but not knowing where to turn. His unique insights and deep sense of empathy help clients overcome serious mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other issues that require professional help.

When it comes to FAMILIES, Gabriel’s skills are second to none. He loves working with families going through a tough time—whether it’s from stress, anger, grief, or other struggle—family therapy can make a difference. It can help couples, children, or members of an extended family learn to communicate better and work through conflicts.

With COUPLES, Gabriel realizes that the most important factor in a relationship in not communication, but respect. Because a love that’s alive is also constantly evolving, it expands and contracts and mellows and deepens. It’s not going to be the way it used to be, or the way it will be, and it shouldn’t be.

Gabriel holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology—with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy—from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, California. He earned the Molina Healthcare Community Champion Award as well as other awards and honors for healthcare excellence in the state of California. Gabriel is proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish.

“I think if more couples understood that the most important factor in a relationship is not communication, but respect, they’d be less inclined to panic and rush to break up or divorce.”
