Holiday Skin Tip #3: Exfoliate once a week. We tend to apply more make-up than usual during the holidays to look fabulous. A lot of ladies opt for a 12-hour foundation to keep their make-up in place through out the whole night. By exfoliating the skin, you are not only prepping the skin for a smooth foundation application, but you are removing all the dead skin cells and impurities that can lead to breakouts.

Holiday Skin Tip #1: Many soaps are drying, so it's important to wash with a liquid non-soap cleanser. Look for cleansers or moisturizers that include botanicals, plant extracts like chamomile and lavender (both are naturally body-replenishing.) Botanicals are often soothing as well; ideal for wind-chapped or exposed skin.

We are proud that our own Dr. Olivia Hsu Friedman co-authored a collaborative research paper published this week in the British Journal of Dermatology. The title is: Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) Syndrome: Developing Diagnostic Criteria through a Modified Delphi Method.

The article contributes to the database of research on TSW, which is a crucial step in expanding care and establishing ways to correctly diagnose and treat TSW patients.
