You’re allowed to enjoy food without guilt. 🍕

Facing fear foods can feel scary and that’s okay. Healing your relationship with food takes time, patience, and compassion. Each time you challenge a food rule or try something that once felt “off-limits,” you’re taking a brave step toward freedom.

Remember: restriction fuels obsession. The more we label foods as “bad,” the more power they hold over us. All foods can fit and giving yourself permission to eat what you enjoy helps rebuild trust with your body.

Recovery isn’t about eating perfectly; it’s about making peace with food and yourself.

Recovery isn’t always glamorous or inspiring. Some days feel repetitive, boring, or just plain hard and that’s completely normal. Progress isn’t always a big leap forward; sometimes it’s showing up, doing the small, sometimes invisible things, and trusting that it all adds up. Even the tough days are part of the journey, and they’re still worth it. 💛

As winter approaches, shorter days and less sunlight can affect mood, energy, and appetite, and for those recovering from an eating disorder, these changes can make routines harder to maintain.
- Low energy and disrupted hunger cues may trigger old habits.
- Gloomy days can increase feelings of isolation or anxiety.
- Less sunlight can impact your circadian rhythm, affecting sleep, mood, and cravings.

Support yourself this season:
- Lean on your healthcare team for guidance and check-ins.
- Practice intuitive eating & trust your body’s signals.
- Stay connected with friends, family, or supportive communities.
- Bring in light, cozy routines, and small joys to help boost your mood.

You’re not alone. Seasonal changes are real, and even small steps can make a big difference in recovery. Want to learn more? Read our full blog on our website!
