Shoulder pain keeping you restless?👀

Dr. Ben is going to show you 3 things you can do to sleep better due to shoulder pain!

✨Place your right arm and hand behind your back and your left hand on top of your head. Then slowly pull your head down away from your right shoulder, about 45 degrees. This stretches and elevates the pain in your tight muscle along your shoulder!

✨Bring one arm across your chest then wrap your other arm around the elbow and slowly pull to stretch. This is especially great for those driving long hours, working desk jobs, or those that sleep on their sides.

✨Bring one arm up and over shoulder down the back, then use the other hand to push the elbow down for that shoulder stretch. This is great for anyone for a nice stretch!

Stretching your shoulder and not seeing a change in the pain?👀

If you are not seeing a positive change in pain, you are likely not doing the movement correctly or need to add STRENGTH and STABILITY.💪

Mike demonstrates some band exercises that provides exactly that!

✨External Rotation with band- pin your elbow to your side while holding the band, then externally rotate at the shoulder. Then slowly bring it back in, keeping at 90 degrees, and repeat 10 times.

✨Internal Rotation with band- same as above but focusing on going towards your belly button.

✨90-90 band- facing the wall and band, bring your shoulder up at 90 degrees with palm facing down. Stay steady and slowly pull your hand/wrist up staying at 90degrees moving only your shoulder to rotate up and down.

These are some exercises that will help your shoulder feeling and moving better💪

Are you feeling stiff or sore when you wake up?👀

Dr. Justin will demonstrate an easy exercise you can do to help relieve that pain and start the day off feeling better!

✨Place your feet flat on the ground
✨Bring your arms up tabletop to chest
✨Slowly move from side to side keeping your spine straight
✨After 30 seconds to a minute, increase your speed to release the extra tension

Once your body is starting to feel much better in the mornings, continue this exercise standing up or even in the shower with the warm water hitting those muscles!
