In the age of COVID-19, we see some changes in the way we do things, like social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, disinfecting common surfaces others may be in contact with, and many people are waiting for a vaccine. It is important to NOTE, that even the vaccine supporters are skeptical about the safety of ANY proposed vaccine for the current crisis. Some in the media are telling us it is the worst health crisis to hit the US in a century. While it is tragic to see a loved one affected by a contagious disease, such as this one, many in the media in previous years have been describing the state of health in the USA as having been in crisis for decades. Fairly consistently, heart disease and cancer together have taken 1.25 million lives every year for decades now. Our condolences to all those who have lost a loved one to COVID-19. It has been noted by the medical 'experts', that ALL of those who have succumbed to this contagion have done so as a consequence of having underlying health problems. Even elite atholetes have succumbed. This really gives us insight into the way we look at health. Many believe that because someone is slender and very athletic, that they are also healthy. Clearly, if someone dies because of an immune system deficit/deficiency, they are/were not healthy to begin with. Those who have criticiaed the vaccine program espoused by the medical community have been called quacks, nutjobs, irresponsible, etc. Those who have abstained from vaccines do so because they have seen many people have adverse reactions to some of the vaccines in the "mandatory" schedule. Here again, with COVID-19, nature has shown us that these 2 groups (vaccine proponents and vaccine detractors) have more in common that either side wants to admit. It begs the question: Have all these adverse vaccine reactions been due to other underlying health condtions? For those who question both sides, now is a really good time to get really clear: Do your own research; reach your own conclusions.
When we talk about vaccine efficacy, it used to be that autistic children 40 years ago were thought to be numbered as 1 in 30,000. Now, we see approximately 1 in 25 persons. That is not 1 in 25,000, that is 1 in 25! So, when you see that a vaccine is touted as 96% effective/safe, is that a good track record? If I were taking Calculus again, and I got a 96% on my semester final exam, that is a REALLY good score! However, 96% is NOT good for a vaccine. What it means is that 1 in 25 persons will have an adverse reaction to that vaccine. Again, not bad for a math score, but we are not talking about a math score. We are talking potentially creating more people who will become wards of the state! Potentially, for their entire lives! Think of the devastation that can come from this type of a product, if such a product is rushed into service!!
The problem with rushing a vaccine for COVID-19 is that even if it takes until the end of 2021 to get one of these on the market, there will be NO long term studies on the effects (after effects) of such a rush job.
Some good news: In his book, Michael Greger, MD, FACLM's book titled: "How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease", he lists the top 15 killer diseases in the western societies. He shows how thousands of studies have demonstrrated over decaces how eating plants does just that: Prevent AND Reverse (at least) these top 15 killers (heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.). By definition, all of those 15 killer diseases are in fact, caused by the same problem: dietary deficiency, which causes immune system deficiency, which results in so many comorbidities (or underlying health conditions), which are for the MOST part, REVERSIBLE through dietary changes!
The REAL science is clear! Eat way more plants, get out into Sunlight, exercise in fresh air, get plenty of fresh water, and sleep, so we can together beat this virus, and get back to living healthy, happy, productive lives!
"Nuff said.
