Meet Heather Banis, Physical Therapist Assistant at Duly's Burr Ridge clinic. 👋

Heather has been connected to physical therapy since high school, inspired by her own experiences with sports injuries and multiple ACL surgeries. Those early experiences shaped her passion for helping others recover and return to their everyday lives. For Heather, the foundation of great physical therapy is communication—listening closely and understanding how each patient experiences pain so she can meet them where they are.

One patient experience continues to remind her why she chose this career. While treating a patient for a Baker’s cyst, Heather learned the patient was also undergoing breast cancer treatment. Together, they adjusted care to fit her changing abilities. Months later, Heather received an email thanking her not just for the physical support, but for being a listening ear and source of encouragement - and sharing the incredible news that she was cancer free. It was a powerful reminder of the impact compassionate care can have. 💙

What Heather values most about working at Duly is the people and a culture that truly cares about its employees and the patient experience. In her words, her work can be summed up simply: getting patients back to normal.
