“Living with the loss of a child is a never-ending journey. Finding help shouldn’t be a burden, too," said Rob Reider, cofounder and executive director of the Sad Dads Club, which supports dads who have endured death of a baby during pregnancy, labor or within the first few weeks after birth. The group also welcomes fathers who have lost children to sudden infant death syndrome and those who have lost older and even adult children.

After Brad Bailey buried his stillborn son, his wife encouraged him to join Sad Dads Club, a nonprofit with peer-to-peer community and support for bereaved fathers.

Every year, National Cremation Society Naples sponsors a table to decorate and provides gifts for the caregivers. It’s always an honor to participate in celebrating our local social workers and case managers!

NCS Naples Service Manager Joshua Shook volunteers with Kairos Prison Ministry, ministering to inmates at DeSoto Correctional Institute. National Cremation Society Service Manager Gloria Yanni presented Joshua with a donation for Kairos, and Joshua then presented it to the Kairos team.

NCS Naples and National Cremation Society Port Charlotte teamed up for their annual trip to Sarasota National Cemetery to participate in Wreaths Across America - Official Page. The two offices sponsored 100 wreaths to place on the graves of veterans. The cemetery honored 25,000 veterans resting there.

NCS Naples Service Manager Joshua Shook and Office Coordinator Laurie DuPont have given out more than 50 remembrance ornaments to families that we have been privileged to serve. Laurie personalized the ornaments for the families on request.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! NCS Naples Service Manager Joshua Shook attended Tuscany Villa of Naples’ annual Christmas party. Santa’s helper Joshua also brought two raffle baskets and gifts to Lely Palms Senior Living Activities Director Nancy Keogh for their annual Candy Cane Lane Festival.

NCS Naples Service Manager Joshua Shook and Office Coordinator Laurie DuPont, with the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Lions Clubs International, had the honor of participating in the Veterans Day Breakfast at Lely Palms Assisted Living. NCS recognized 35 for their service to our country with a certificate and pinning for each veteran present -- including a WWII veteran.

NCS Naples Service Manager Joshua Shook showed appreciation for Rev. Cheree Johnson, Vitas Hospice Bereavement Manager, as well as other local chaplains and ministers for Clergy Appreciation Day, giving each a gift bag with a leather-bound journal and bookmark.

In appreciation for all their hard work and dedication to our community, the NCS Naples team brought yummy gift baskets to social workers and nurses at Avow Hospice, Solaris Healthcare, Vitas Hospice, Bayshore Memory Care, and Tuscany Villa. The baskets included a box of chocolates, personalized thank you note, personal 2025 calendars, mints, and swag.

NCS Naples Service Manager Joshua Shook and team surprised activity directors at local assisted living facilities with Fun & Games Activity Baskets for the residents. They included jigsaw puzzles, activity books, rock-painting kits, and card games -- and Tuscany Villa of Naples raffled their basket off as a prize for their Fourth of July celebration.
