Tru-dat, and has been known for decades, but it doesnt support the cancer industry, do you want to support it? Yeh, me neither.......In nearly 80,000 people studied, vegans had a 24% lower overall risk of cancer, while vegetarians reduced their risk by 12%.
Good news for millennials: for younger vegans the benefits were even bigger - prostate cancer risk cut by 43%, breast cancer down by 31%.
The reductions observed were impressive:
- Colorectal cancer: 21% lower risk (vegetarians)
- Stomach cancer: 45% lower risk (vegetarians)
- Lymphomas: 25% lower risk (vegetarians); 56% lower in older vegans
- Prostate cancer (younger vegans): 43% lower risk
- Breast cancer (younger vegans): 31% lower risk
More plants and less meat (or no meat) = more protection for you and your future health!
