Jennifer's wellness journey started with her desire to change from a mindset of using a “pill for every ill” to uncovering the true reason(s) for disease. She knew there was a better way. Her passion was fueled further by listening to podcasts by Dr.Hyman and reading his books. She started applying this new mindset while helping her husband during his personal health journey and during her own desire to reach optimal health. Jennifer received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2006 from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Most of her pharmacy career was spent in ambulatory care and more recently she specialized in patients with complex medical conditions such as cancer, infectious disease, and autoimmune disease. Recently, she completed her certification as a nutrition and wellness coach (CNWC) and as a functional medicine practitioner (CFMP). Jennifer’s philosophy is a whole person and whole family approach to health and wellness. She is passionate about helping clients heal their bodies with lifestyle interventions and using food to heal their health concerns. All the little things matter… even when you don’t see the change. 💪✨

I do all the things — yoga 🧘‍♀️, strength training 🏋️‍♀️, foam rolling, eating whole foods 🥗, staying hydrated 💧, getting good sleep 😴 — and guess what?
 My back pain is still there. 😅
But here’s the truth I have to remind myself of:

It’s easy to feel frustrated and wonder, “Why bother?” 😩 But here’s the truth 👉 without those healthy habits, my pain would be so much worse. I might not be able to:
🧘‍♀️ Move freely in yoga
🏋️‍♀️ Lift weights
👩‍👧‍👦 Play with my kids

Sometimes progress is quiet. Sometimes success looks like being able to do the things you love, even if the challenge hasn’t disappeared. ❤️

So don’t give up, friend. Every small step you take is adding up, even if you can’t see it yet. 🌟
