Anxiety is a battle many face, even those deeply rooted in their faith. Throughout the Bible, we find narratives of individuals navigating the tumultuous waters of anxiety.
Let's explore three examples together:
Moses: Despite his pivotal role in leading the Israelites to freedom, Moses wrestled with anxiety and self-doubt. In Exodus 4, he expressed fear and inadequacy, questioning his ability to fulfill God's calling. Yet, God reassured Moses, promising to be with him every step of the way.
Paul: The apostle Paul, known for his unwavering dedication to spreading the Gospel, grappled with anxiety and hardship. In 2 Corinthians 11, he speaks candidly about his anxieties, including fear of persecution and the burdens of leadership. Despite his struggles, Paul found strength in his faith, leaning on God's grace to sustain him.
Jesus: Even the Son of God experienced anxiety in the face of his impending crucifixion. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed fervently, sweating drops of blood as he pleaded with God to let the cup of suffering pass from him. Yet, he surrendered to God's will, trusting in His plan for salvation.
