๐ฟ Building emotional resilience and nervous system healthโone session, one family at a time through biofeedback, intuition and integrative care๐ฟ
(1)
Weโre starting this podcast with a story that changed everything for me โ one powerful moment with my son Jack during his early years that shifted my mindset and my entire approach to healing.
In this premiere episode, guest host Ann Robertson โ my longtime mentor and โsecond momโ โ guides me back to the WHY behind Down to Heal: to create a safe, empowering space where real stories of vulnerability, resilience, and transformation are shared.
This isnโt just about my story. Itโs about reminding each of us that:
โจ You are your own healer.
โจ Love and presence are more powerful than fear.
โจ Healing starts when we step out of shame and into truth.
Mark your calendars: 9/9/25.
A podcast where healing meets honesty, and where stories become medicine.

๐๏ธ Something special is coming soon on Down to Heal.
I sat down with Laurie Barraco to explore the hidden, mystical side of parenting neurodivergent childrenโfrom soul contracts and psychic protection to sacred exhaustion and energetic mirrors.
This conversation is equal parts mystical insight and practical guidance for parents navigating the unseen currents of family life. โจ
Stay tunedโฆ you wonโt want to miss this!

The body whispers before it shouts. โจ
Medical professionals are recognizing that loss of smell can be one of the earliest indicators of Alzheimerโs. In conversations, even some moms have mentioned noticing this shift for themselves.
This is not being shared to create fear, instead this is an an invitation to support your brain health naturally. ๐ฑ At Cynchronisity Biofeedback & Healing Energy Work, Iโve developed a protocol that encourages the brain and body to reconnect and reawaken pathways through the bodyโs innate wisdom of healing.
If you or someone you love would like to explore natural, non-invasive support, Iโd be honored to share more.

๐โจ Healing After TBI: A Real Moment of Progress โจ๐ง
After just two in-person sessions, one of my clients who experienced a traumatic brain injury messaged me:
โHi Cynthia! I just drove 2 hours and noticed how my focus is so much better โ and my driving is better too.โ ๐ฌ๐
These kinds of shifts may seem small to the outside world, but for those navigating life after a TBI, they are monumental.
Clarity, coordination, confidence โ theyโre not just physical outcomes. Theyโre the result of the nervous system finally feeling supported, safe, and seen.
Whether in person or remote, this work is about reawakening the brainโs capacity to regulate, integrate, and rebuild.
If you or someone you love is on a neuro-healing journey, know that support is possible, and shifts can happen โ sometimes sooner than you think. ๐ฟโจ

Ever walked away from a session and thought:
โSomething shiftedโฆ but I canโt explain it.โ
Thatโs not just okayโitโs a sign your body and energy system are working at a deep level.
In one recent session, we combined:
๐น Blue Chromotherapy to calm and reset the nervous system
๐น Tuning forks in brainwave frequencies to support focus, clarity, and expanded awareness
๐น Schumann Resonance Sliders to reconnect with the Earthโs natural rhythm
The result? A vibrational โresetโ that the body often feels before the brain can understand.
โจ Healing doesnโt always come with words.
Sometimes it shows up as stillness. Vibration. Release.
Sometimesโฆ thereโs just peace.
If you've ever had a session that left you speechless in the best wayโyou're not alone.
Your body knows what it's doing. Let it finish the conversation. ๐

Iโm going to be realโand yes, Iโm always realโbut this oneโs vulnerable:
Marketing myself has been the hardest part of this journey.
Put me one-on-one with someone? Iโm all in.
But on social media? I freeze, second-guess, pull back.
Today, though, something shifted.
I got a callโunexpected, humbling, affirming.
This wasnโt from a client.
It was from her best friend.
She noticed the difference in her after our session and felt called to tell me.
That kind of reflectionโฆ wow.
It reminded me why I do what I do.
Iโve devoted myself to understanding the nervous systemโnot just for clients, but for my own family. Jack has been my greatest teacher. My clients, too.
This work comes from lived experience, deep practice, and a lot of heart.
And while I still stumble when it comes to โmarketing,โ
what Iโm offering isnโt a product.
Itโs a path. A practice. A partnership.
So if youโre seeing this and youโve ever wondered what I really do,
itโs this: I help the body remember what safety feels likeโ
and from there, everything begins to change.
The next evolution of healing isnโt top-downโitโs shared. โพ๏ธWeโre expanding the conversation. Add your voice to Down to Heal.

Some projects arenโt created.
They emergeโfrom lived experience, deep reflection, and a quiet knowing that the world is ready for a new conversation.
Today, Iโm honored to share one of those projects: Down to Healโa podcast born from the intersection of personal truth, professional calling, and a motherโs fierce love.
Fifteen years ago, I began a journey with my sonโone that included open-heart surgery, a Down syndrome diagnosis, apraxia, and the maze of systems so many families must navigate silently.
What began as survival has become purpose.
๐๏ธ In this first sizzle reel, I sit down with two of the professionals who helped us lay the foundation for healing:
๐ซ Dr. Robert Voigt Lowell, our sonโs cardiologist
๐ฃ๏ธ Anne Steiner, PROMPT-certified speech-language pathologist
Their insights helped shape our early stepsโnow theyโre helping shape this dialogue.
Down to Heal isnโt just a podcastโitโs a calling.
A movement guided by the belief that our neurodivergent children are the canaries in the coal mine of a world in need of rebalancing.
Through their sensitivity, they reveal the fractures in our systemsโand the path to deeper healing, connection, and conscious change.
This is only the beginning.
And yesโweโre still in early stages, still growing, still refining. But the heart of this work is already beating strong.

This journey hasnโt always been easyโnavigating personal challenges, raising a neurodivergent family, and developing a business that didnโt have a clear model to follow. Building a mission-driven organization from the ground up takes heart, grit, and a whole lot of learning.
Wow, has it also been filled with deep purpose!
Iโm proud to share my latest article in Neapolitan Family magazine, where I offer practical, compassionate strategies to help teens with additional needs strengthen their executive functioning skills over the summer.
This topic is personalโand it speaks to the heart of the work weโre doing at Additional Needs Inc.. Whether youโre a parent, educator, or caregiver, I hope this piece offers a sense of clarity, hope, and direction.
Letโs continue building community-centered care that meets families where they are and empowers them to thrive. ๐

I am a healer and a parent of a child with additional needs, specifically Down syndrome. I didnโt know I was a healer until my son was almost two years old and I took an energy work class. I was overwhelmed at that time from having to fight for my sonโs life a week after he was born. We were given the possible diagnosis of Down syndrome and were told heโd need to have open heart surgery within a month or two, though the doctor recommended it would be best to get him to 5 or six months. The struggle was real. We succeeded to get him to 5 months so surgery would be successful. But stress took its toll. I suffered with anxiety that expressed itself as allergies. My family suffered with me. I didnโt like the pattern that ensued and I chose to start making myself a priority. I healed myself AND my family. We became joyful again.
I later became educated in biofeedback as I was looking for a solution for my sonโs insomnia. But it really changed when he was almost 6 years old. He had been diagnosed with Apraxia and we had just started working with a new speech pathologist who was trained in P.R.O.M.P.T. therapy. For the first three visits all I heard her say to me isโ He keeps dislocating his jaw!โ By the fourth appointment I was tired of hearing this, much more of him hearing this, and I didnโt want his energetic body to align with this. On top of that, the next day we had an orthotist appointment as my sonโs ankles and feet were very pronanted, left more than right. The orthotist asked meโ Has anyone talked to you about binding up his legs from his toes to his thighs?โ I immediately asked โWhy would they do that?โ He remarked โbecause heโs walking pigeon toed.โ
That lit a fire within me. I didnโt like feeling as though this was our reality, I wanted to create our own reality. I KNOW how important words are and how they affect us and create quite a subconscious effect within us. That night I prayed and asked for guidance because I knew that the energy work I had learned wasnโt going to affect my sonโs alignment and biofeedback would take too much time and couldnโt stop a pattern he had established in his body. After my prayer, I held his head and began the session. The next day, the speech pathologist said most excitedly, โHe canโt make any of the sounds weโve been working on!โ I looked at her, โ โDonโt worry, I just relaxed all his muscles. Give him a week and at the next appointment, if he isnโt able to make those sounds, THEN we can be concerned.โ She looked at me like I had 10 heads...what I was saying was mind boggling to her. By that Friday which was 3 days after the orthotist appointment, my son wasnโt walking pigeon toed. By the following speech therapy appointment which was on a Monday he wasnโt dislocating his jaw as much.
Two years ago, when my son was in second grade, I was told that it is typical for children with Down syndrome to show their differences as they are not able to stay up with their peers by 3rd grade. My son is in fourth grade and is in a typical general education classroom and he is able to do the curriculum that his typical peers are doing. How is that possible? Because we chose not to accept the โrealityโ that others insisted was real. We chose to double down and invest money, time, love and energy to make that happen.
Now, I want to be of greater service. I want to share my tools that got me through feeling a victim of my own mindset and physical unease into a state of embracing health, wellbeing, possibilities and triumph. If you or you and your family are looking to shift from heightened stress patterns that do not benefit you and you are ready and committed to making a change, I am ready to honor you and your wishes and help guide you and your family along your path into well-being. We are not just physical beings, we are emotional, spiritual, and at this time looking for connection on all levels.
