šāØ Healing After TBI: A Real Moment of Progress āØš§
After just two in-person sessions, one of my clients who experienced a traumatic brain injury messaged me:
āHi Cynthia! I just drove 2 hours and noticed how my focus is so much better ā and my driving is better too.ā š¬š
These kinds of shifts may seem small to the outside world, but for those navigating life after a TBI, they are monumental.
Clarity, coordination, confidence ā theyāre not just physical outcomes. Theyāre the result of the nervous system finally feeling supported, safe, and seen.
Whether in person or remote, this work is about reawakening the brainās capacity to regulate, integrate, and rebuild.
If you or someone you love is on a neuro-healing journey, know that support is possible, and shifts can happen ā sometimes sooner than you think. šæāØ

Ever walked away from a session and thought:
āSomething shifted⦠but I canāt explain it.ā
Thatās not just okayāitās a sign your body and energy system are working at a deep level.
In one recent session, we combined:
š¹ Blue Chromotherapy to calm and reset the nervous system
š¹ Tuning forks in brainwave frequencies to support focus, clarity, and expanded awareness
š¹ Schumann Resonance Sliders to reconnect with the Earthās natural rhythm
The result? A vibrational āresetā that the body often feels before the brain can understand.
⨠Healing doesnāt always come with words.
Sometimes it shows up as stillness. Vibration. Release.
Sometimes⦠thereās just peace.
If you've ever had a session that left you speechless in the best wayāyou're not alone.
Your body knows what it's doing. Let it finish the conversation. š

Iām going to be realāand yes, Iām always realābut this oneās vulnerable:
Marketing myself has been the hardest part of this journey.
Put me one-on-one with someone? Iām all in.
But on social media? I freeze, second-guess, pull back.
Today, though, something shifted.
I got a callāunexpected, humbling, affirming.
This wasnāt from a client.
It was from her best friend.
She noticed the difference in her after our session and felt called to tell me.
That kind of reflection⦠wow.
It reminded me why I do what I do.
Iāve devoted myself to understanding the nervous systemānot just for clients, but for my own family. Jack has been my greatest teacher. My clients, too.
This work comes from lived experience, deep practice, and a lot of heart.
And while I still stumble when it comes to āmarketing,ā
what Iām offering isnāt a product.
Itās a path. A practice. A partnership.
So if youāre seeing this and youāve ever wondered what I really do,
itās this: I help the body remember what safety feels likeā
and from there, everything begins to change.
The next evolution of healing isnāt top-downāitās shared. ā¾ļøWeāre expanding the conversation. Add your voice to Down to Heal.

Some projects arenāt created.
They emergeāfrom lived experience, deep reflection, and a quiet knowing that the world is ready for a new conversation.
Today, Iām honored to share one of those projects: Down to Healāa podcast born from the intersection of personal truth, professional calling, and a motherās fierce love.
Fifteen years ago, I began a journey with my sonāone that included open-heart surgery, a Down syndrome diagnosis, apraxia, and the maze of systems so many families must navigate silently.
What began as survival has become purpose.
šļø In this first sizzle reel, I sit down with two of the professionals who helped us lay the foundation for healing:
š« Dr. Robert Voigt Lowell, our sonās cardiologist
š£ļø Anne Steiner, PROMPT-certified speech-language pathologist
Their insights helped shape our early stepsānow theyāre helping shape this dialogue.
Down to Heal isnāt just a podcastāitās a calling.
A movement guided by the belief that our neurodivergent children are the canaries in the coal mine of a world in need of rebalancing.
Through their sensitivity, they reveal the fractures in our systemsāand the path to deeper healing, connection, and conscious change.
This is only the beginning.
And yesāweāre still in early stages, still growing, still refining. But the heart of this work is already beating strong.
š If you feel aligned with this mission, we invite your support.
This journey hasnāt always been easyānavigating personal challenges, raising a neurodivergent family, and developing a business that didnāt have a clear model to follow. Building a mission-driven organization from the ground up takes heart, grit, and a whole lot of learning.
Wow, has it also been filled with deep purpose!
Iām proud to share my latest article in Neapolitan Family magazine, where I offer practical, compassionate strategies to help teens with additional needs strengthen their executive functioning skills over the summer.
This topic is personalāand it speaks to the heart of the work weāre doing at Additional Needs Inc.. Whether youāre a parent, educator, or caregiver, I hope this piece offers a sense of clarity, hope, and direction.
Letās continue building community-centered care that meets families where they are and empowers them to thrive. š

One-time investment, ongoing support for 365 days. No need to schedule, no need to be present. The H.E.B. quietly works in the backgroundālike energetic scaffoldingāsupporting your body, mind, and space, day in and day out š
The Beginning
š Sleepless nights. Inflamed skin. A motherās intuition.
Our story with biofeedback began when my son started school at age 3āand we stopped sleeping.
Read how desperation led me to divine timing
Yesterday I worked with an international client who shared that she doesnāt drink any fluidsāno water, tea, juice, or milk. Sheās been experiencing episodes of dizziness and knew when she was "about to faint."
Upon further discussion, it became clear that chronic dehydration was affecting her brain and body function at a deep level. The concern wasnāt just fatigueāit was electrolyte imbalance, neurotransmitter disruption, and increased stroke risk.
According to research from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), dehydration significantly alters brain structure and function, with consequences ranging from impaired cognition to cardiovascular stress.
In my practice, we address hydration not just as a wellness tip, but as a life-saving strategy. Many people overlook it, but cellular hydration is foundational for neurological and emotional well-being.
š¹ Hydration supports healthy neurotransmitter production
š¹ It stabilizes blood pressure and oxygen delivery
š¹ It protects the brain from shrinkage and injury
š¹ It is especially vital in hot climates or in individuals on medications
If you or someone you love experiences dizziness, confusion, or fatigueāstart with the basics.
š§Hydration isnāt optional. Itās essential.

I am a healer and a parent of a child with additional needs, specifically Down syndrome. I didnāt know I was a healer until my son was almost two years old and I took an energy work class. I was overwhelmed at that time from having to fight for my sonās life a week after he was born. We were given the possible diagnosis of Down syndrome and were told heād need to have open heart surgery within a month or two, though the doctor recommended it would be best to get him to 5 or six months. The struggle was real. We succeeded to get him to 5 months so surgery would be successful. But stress took its toll. I suffered with anxiety that expressed itself as allergies. My family suffered with me. I didnāt like the pattern that ensued and I chose to start making myself a priority. I healed myself AND my family. We became joyful again.
I later became educated in biofeedback as I was looking for a solution for my sonās insomnia. But it really changed when he was almost 6 years old. He had been diagnosed with Apraxia and we had just started working with a new speech pathologist who was trained in P.R.O.M.P.T. therapy. For the first three visits all I heard her say to me isā He keeps dislocating his jaw!ā By the fourth appointment I was tired of hearing this, much more of him hearing this, and I didnāt want his energetic body to align with this. On top of that, the next day we had an orthotist appointment as my sonās ankles and feet were very pronanted, left more than right. The orthotist asked meā Has anyone talked to you about binding up his legs from his toes to his thighs?ā I immediately asked āWhy would they do that?ā He remarked ābecause heās walking pigeon toed.ā
That lit a fire within me. I didnāt like feeling as though this was our reality, I wanted to create our own reality. I KNOW how important words are and how they affect us and create quite a subconscious effect within us. That night I prayed and asked for guidance because I knew that the energy work I had learned wasnāt going to affect my sonās alignment and biofeedback would take too much time and couldnāt stop a pattern he had established in his body. After my prayer, I held his head and began the session. The next day, the speech pathologist said most excitedly, āHe canāt make any of the sounds weāve been working on!ā I looked at her, ā āDonāt worry, I just relaxed all his muscles. Give him a week and at the next appointment, if he isnāt able to make those sounds, THEN we can be concerned.ā She looked at me like I had 10 heads...what I was saying was mind boggling to her. By that Friday which was 3 days after the orthotist appointment, my son wasnāt walking pigeon toed. By the following speech therapy appointment which was on a Monday he wasnāt dislocating his jaw as much.
Two years ago, when my son was in second grade, I was told that it is typical for children with Down syndrome to show their differences as they are not able to stay up with their peers by 3rd grade. My son is in fourth grade and is in a typical general education classroom and he is able to do the curriculum that his typical peers are doing. How is that possible? Because we chose not to accept the ārealityā that others insisted was real. We chose to double down and invest money, time, love and energy to make that happen.
Now, I want to be of greater service. I want to share my tools that got me through feeling a victim of my own mindset and physical unease into a state of embracing health, wellbeing, possibilities and triumph. If you or you and your family are looking to shift from heightened stress patterns that do not benefit you and you are ready and committed to making a change, I am ready to honor you and your wishes and help guide you and your family along your path into well-being. We are not just physical beings, we are emotional, spiritual, and at this time looking for connection on all levels.
