Strength x Speed = Power which equals DISTANCE
The more speed and power an athlete can generate and greater the force that they can put out, can help to increase club head and ball speed, which ultimately gives them more distance.
The energy system mainly used here is the ATP-Pcr system which uses phosphocreatine stored in the muscles to help create short explosive moments such as a push, pull, or rotation. The energy system last about 10 seconds and is what most power and speed athletes rely on during their lifts or competition.
Recommendations for reps and sets
1-5 reps
3-6 sets
2-5 minutes in between each set
Strength/speed: 70 to 85 percent 1RM
Speed/explosiveness 30 to 60 percent of 1 RM
