53-year-old with the neck line of a 30 year old!

This is a 53-year-old woman who always maintained an excellent diet and exercise regimen, but she could not slow down the facial aging process. She is shown before and 6 months after I performed an UpliftTM lower face and neck lift with platysmaplasty, upper eyelid blepharoplasty, and an endoscopic outer brow lift. Her jawline and neck look rejuvenated and her upper eyelid and temporal hooding have been eliminated by lifting the outer eyebrows and removing excess upper eyelid skin. 1 year post-rhinoplasty results:

This is a 23 year old woman who didn't like the way her nasal tip drooped when she smiles, she had trouble breathing through her crooked nose, and she wanted a more feminine contour. She is shown before and 1 year after I performed a septorhinoplasty with turbinate outfractures. During the rhinoplasty with septal cartilage grafting, I brought her tip back to the center, gave her a more feminine profile, improved her breathing, narrowed her nostrils and refined the tip. She is very happy with her nasal contour, ability to breathe again, and the symmetry.

Seeing this patient 1 year after a rhinoplasty and chin implant was a great way to cap off the week.

This beautiful 29 year old woman wanted to improve her nasal appearance and size due to a bulbous nasal tip, dorsal hump and over-projected nose. I performed a complex rhinoplasty with cartilage grafting and chin augmentation with a silastic permanent chin implant. Her nose is more refined and fits her facial features, while the improved chin projection simultaneously makes her nose look less projected forward.

I was really excited to see this 74 year old today on whom I performed a revision UpliftTM lower face and neck lift with platysmaplasty and submandibular gland reduction. Notice how the bulges below the jawline have been corrected by reducing the size of her submandibular salivary glands, the jawline is refined, and her neck contour is youthful and rejuvenated. She and I are both thrilled with her results!

I was fortunate to have been able to help this 32 year old woman deal with a lifelong history of having a very crooked nose. She wanted her nose to be straighter, her dorsal hump to be reduced with a gentle feminine curvature, tip refinement for a bulbous tip, and improvement of her nasal alar retraction (retracted nostrils).

She is shown before and 6 months after I performed a complex external rhinoplasty with homograft irradiated rib cartilage grafts, septoplasty, nostril reductions, and chin augmentation. The patient is thrilled with how her nose is now straight, tip and bridge are smaller and more feminine, her nostrils are no longer retracted upwards, and how she can finally breathe through the left side of her nose. The small chin implant also helped balance her profile and detract from the prominence of her nose.

It was rewarding to see this 70 year old woman 4 months after I performed an Endoscopic midface lift, UpliftTM lower face and neck lift with platysmaplasty and submandibular gland reduction, upper blepharoplasty, transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty, fat transfer to her under eye hollows, subnasal upper lip lift, and fractional CO2 laser resurfacing of the lower eyelids, forehead and perioral region. She is thrilled with how rejuvenated she looks. Notice the smoothness of her lower eyelids and neck skin. The square shape to her face has been restored to the heart shape of youth thanks to the vertical suspension provided by the endoscopic midface lift.

This is a 77-year-old woman who had prior facial surgery, but asked me for facelift recommendations.
She had thin skin which I felt would not be best suited for additional face lifting.

The biggest issue was volume depletion under her eyes and of the cheeks. Her right cheek was more deficient than the left. She is shown before and almost 5 months after I performed permanent cheek implants (medium on the right, small on the left to balance her cheeks), fat transfer under her eyes, and full face fractional CO2 laser resurfacing.

Every face is different, which is why the individual consultation and in-person physical examination is so important.

What is an outer lip advancement?

A subnasal upper lip lift does a nice job of lifting the central part of the upper lip, generally proportional to the width of the nasal base. But sometimes, the outer corners need to be lifted as well. An outer upper lip advancement is a good option in these cases.

This patient is 7 days out from a subnasal upper lip lift combined with an outer lip advancement. She came in today for her suture removal, but she’s a good example of where the incision is made along the border of the outer upper lip to remove skin and lift the outer upper lip. This results in an extremely fine scar line that’s difficult to see unless you look carefully for it. Dr. Agarwal considers this to be a comprehensive upper lip lift, necessary for optimal results in certain patients. This procedure can also be used to improve lip asymmetry.

This is a 64 year old woman who had noticed jowls forming along her jawline near the corner of her mouth and looseness of her neck skin. This is a 27 year old woman who wanted to make her nose smaller and more feminine. Because of her thick skin and history of prior acne scarring, I used septal cartilage grafts to create more tip definition and simultaneously reduced the width of her nose and nostrils. She is shown before and almost 5 months after external rhinoplasty, endoscopic forehead and brow lift to open up her eyes and give her feminine arched eyebrows, and TCA peel of the lower eyelids to improve mild lower eyelid wrinkling. Notice how her nose is narrower from top to bottom on the front view, and she has a gentle, feminine dorsal curvature on the side view.
