Her topic this morning, titled “ Cardiac Amyloidosis “ delved into the presenation, diagnosis and treatment of this condition.

Our Grand Rounds today was on a very important and often overlooked topic “ Heart Disease in Women “ by non other than the great Dr. Martha Gulati throught our virtual platform Webex.

Dr. Gulati is a professor of Medicine and the Chief of Cardiology at the University of Arizona ( Phoenix). She held the Sarah Ross Soter Chair in Women’s Cardiovascular Health and was the Section Director for Women’s Cardiovascular Health and Preventive Cardiology at The Ohio State University until 2015. She is the author of the best-seller,”Saving Women’s Hearts”. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Cardiology “CardioSmart”.

She has an exceptional commitment to the study of women and cardiac diseases and has won numerous awards and distinctions.

We are happy to share and inform you and our community on the growth and developments in Graduate Medical Education at the NCH Healthcare System.

GME at NCH have come a long way since the formation of its steering committee about six years ago, and this newsletter and the success that GME has achieved could not have been accomplished without the strong support of the NCH leadership team.

“Virtual Pizza Night “🥳🥳

Resident wellness is very important for resident physician well-being, support residents efforts to be healthy, build resilience, avoid burnout, and find meaning and joy in work.

Throughout the year, our residents participate in many reacreational wellness activities that are hosted by the residents themselves, and tonight’s was hosted by one of our talented residents, Dr. Emily Kassar, giving us a taste of her secret pizza recipe in “ Virtal Pizza Night”.

It was really fun, and we should do it again soon !!
