The Avow Kids team recently led grief-awareness trainings for non-instructional staff at Immokalee High School. These sessions help staff recognize the signs of grief in children – whether from loss or other major life changes – and understand how to offer support.

At Avow Kids, we understand that children navigate grief in many ways, and having adults who can listen, respond, and connect them with resources makes a meaningful difference. To learn more or schedule a training, email avowkids@avowcares.org.

A special thank you to Trinity By The Cove Episcopal Church! Their generous $10,000 grant to Avow will help us purchase new stethoscopes, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure cuffs for our hospice nurses in the field. These essential tools allow our team to provide the same four-star care our neighbors rely on every day. 💙

The Dinner Party, a monthly gathering for 18–45-year-olds navigating life after loss. Enjoy a meal, connect with others who understand, and find community. Held the first Wednesday of every month.

Meet your hosts:
Gianna, Avow Volunteer – Inspired by the loss of her father in 2017, Gianna created the podcast So Sorry For Your Loss, sharing stories of grief, heartache, and even laughter with authors, experts, and reality stars.

Andrianna, Avow Kids Manager – Having lost her brother and great-grandmother in 2020, Andrianna’s passion is creating safe spaces where grief can be shared openly. She supports children, teens, and families navigating loss and life transitions through Avow Kids.
