Today, on International Day of Charity, we celebrate the kindness that changes lives.
Every act of generosity helps us provide essential medical care to hardworking, but uninsured adults who otherwise may go without. With your support, the Clinic is turning compassion into action and ensuring that health is a right, not a privilege.

In 1998 the Neighborhood Health Clinic was an idea conceived in the Lascheid’s kitchen- just two short months after Dr. Bill and Nancy Lascheid retired from their full-time Naples dermatology practice. The concept of a medical clinic for the working poor gained momentum and attracted supporters. With shared enthusiasm of friends and help from professionals and volunteers in the community, the Clinic was able to open its doors in April 1999.

The Original Clinic
The Clinic’s first medical location was space donated by NCH Healthcare System in the now-demolished Grand Central Station commercial complex on Goodlette-Frank Road. A generous contributor donated funding for the construction of a new building and in 2003 the Clinic moved into its current location at 121 Goodlette Road North – a state-of-the-art medical facility -mortgage free. The continuing generosity of donors and this community has allowed the Clinic to flourish.
