HSS at NCH welcomes James Kinderknecht, MD, a Non-Operative Sports Medicine physician.

Dr. Kinderknecht has been the program director of the sports medicine fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and previously at the University of Missouri.

His career has included being a team physician, most recently for the New York Giants football team and previously with the University of Missouri, St. John’s University, and the New York Mets.

At Hospital for Special Surgery, he was the founder and co-medical director of the HSS Sports Safety program with an emphasis on injury prevention programs, as well as the medical director for the HSS New York Public School Athletic League Program that provided medical coverage for several inner-city high schools.

Dr. Kinderknecht has an interest and expertise in the care of athletes of all ages.

HSS at NCH welcomes Jon Dounchis, MD, Adult Reconstruction & Joint Replacement Hip & Knee Surgeon.

Dr. Dounchis has been practicing in Naples for more than 24 years and specializes in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery of the knee and hip - offering advanced surgical solutions such as total and partial joint replacement and revisions.
