An idea presented by Daniel Kahneman, a Nobel Prize-winning psychologist. Kahneman distinguishes between the "experiencing self" and the "remembering self" in his work on happiness and decision-making. According to him, the "experiencing self" is our moment-to-moment consciousness, essentially living in the present and experiencing life as it happens. On the other hand, the "remembering self" is the part of us that reflects on experiences, remembers them, and makes future decisions based on those memories. Kahneman suggests that often, our decisions are more influenced by the memories and interpretations of our experiences (the remembering self) than by the actual lived experiences (the experiencing self). This distinction is crucial in understanding human behavior, happiness, and the decision-making process.❤️🙏🦋
