The Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus, formerly known as Lutheran Home at Napoleon, offers a warm and welcoming place for seniors of all faiths to call home. A wide range of social activities and outings create opportunities for residents to socialize and have fun — which means there’s always something to do and people to do it with. The Napoleon Campus has been named a bronze Employer of Choice by LeadingAge Ohio for 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. The award recognizes providers of aging services who demonstrate leadership in employee development and engagement. Furthermore, it acknowledges the importance of treating employees – those who serve our residents and clients – with similar care and consideration that we want them to provide to others. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, the Napoleon Campus offers a full continuum of residential and health care services, including independent living at Bavarian Village, assisted living at Alpine Village, and medical care and therapy services at the Health Center. We had a fun and very Hot time at the fair yesterday. Thank you to the Henry County Senior Center for putting on the senior day program and all the sponsors for the lunch tickets. Thank you to every volunteer and staff member that helped get us ready, helped during and helped after the fair. We did all we could to stay cool and hydrated too! Great food, at the small county fair with good friends. We had a wonderful time.

A recent study shows Ohio has the sixth highest percentage of seniors who struggle with not having enough food. Janet, a resident of Genacross' Luther Oaks senior community, was one such person. Enter the Luther Oaks service coordinator, who helped her apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Janet now receives SNAP benefits. The service coordinators at our housing sites help residents age in place by connecting them to needed programs and services.

We celebrated National Root Beer Float Day with icy floats, yard games, and a sizzling hot day full of fun! 🌞

Participants were entered into a raffle where winners took home 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes (photos coming soon)—but the real prize was the fun we had together! 💛

What a National Skilled Nursing Care Week we had! Free Casino fun! Celebrated Florence Nightingale's Birthday with our nurses. Mother's Day tea time. Special fun listening to country music with James Wesley. Painting fun with Soaring Arts Studio on Bob Ross Day, Pastor Daniel did a perfect match! Cook out for the staff. We were blessed to show our love for one another this week.
