http://www.totallifechiro.net Dr. Charles Weigel, Chiropractor Napoleon, ND, Specializing in family and pediatric care. I've been a Chiropractor in Napoleon for almost 15 years now. I was born and raised here and decided to return "home" to help benefit my community and the surrounding communities and to raise my children in a small town. I decided to become a chiropractor after suffering from constant headaches as a child. I got relief after being adjusted by a chiropractor. I want to help people of all ages with their health problems and teach them how to get well and live up to their full potential. I especially enjoy treating children and educating patients so they are better able to make informed health decisions for their family. At Total Life Chiropractic we aid individuals and families in finding their health potential by removing obstacles to the healing process. Nervous system interference (called subluxation) caused by physical, chemical, and emotional stress disrupts the delicate communication pathways between your brain and every tissue and cell in your body. By reducing the devastating effects of subluxations we help people of all ages from newborn babies to senior citizens live a healthier more balanced life.

5 Ways to Reduce Your Stress
1) Get Adjusted - this activates the brake pedal side of your nervous system like nothing else can! Shift out of gas pedal (stressed out, fight or flight) mode calming down into a state of balance and ease
2) Move your Body - Not only will your health benefit, but this will cause a release of feel-good neurotransmitters, called Endorphins to put you in a blissful healthy state of mind!
3) Breathing Exercises- even simply closing your eyes and controlling 4 short breaths, this activates the brake pedal side of your nervous system as well decreasing the gas pedal response to stress and retraining your mind + body to respond with calm, and not panic in high stress situations
4) Meditate/Pray/Journal - Do one of the 3 or altogether, but implementing this daily habit allows you to disconnect from your emotions and express gratitude leading you more towards love and less stress!
5) Smile - Last, but certainly not least! When you smile, your brain releases dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin into your bloodstream! This not only is making your body relax, but also works to lower your heart rate and blood pressure! So give a stranger a smile today IT’S FREE... you may just make them smile + lower their blood pressure!
Control your perspective, control your mind, control your life!

Your sweet babe is telling you things, are you tuned in to hear?
Did you know that when a baby is born, they feel anywhere between 60-120 pounds of pressure on their cervical spine?
Even though we know that it is inevitable, we also know that this pressure has an effect on your newborn. Your baby will whisper to you that you something is off by:
Keeping their head tilted to one side
Struggling to latch, which leads to pain for you
Difficulty digesting (gas, colic)
Feeling restless
✨ We know that with gentle adjustments, your baby can start to heal and shift into a "rest & digest" mode. If you feel like your baby is sending you any of these signals, we'd love to do an
initial assessment & give you some answers. ✨

Babies often have trauma to their upper neck and jaw from their delivery!
Why is this an issue? The TMJ (temporomandibular joint) is very close to the top bone of the neck (the atlas) and also very close to the eustachian tubes.
So if a child has tension in the neck or jaw, it can look like they are having ear pain. This usually leads parents to think their child has an ear infection.
Releasing the tension of the jaw has been shown to relieve symptoms of teething, breast preference, and latch issues among many other things!
