Hutsell Chiropractic and Functional Health helps you take control of your health through expert chiropractic care, functional medicine, and personalized nutrition. I had grown up in a family whose life was positively affected by Chiropractic and wellness care, after no help was found in medical care. I've spent well over $100k continually trying to learn the most effective and efficient ways to get the body to heal and fulfill its potential. Pursing wellness and facilitating optimum expression of genetic potential through natural means is our mission and purpose. Everyday we continue to be in awe of our bodies design and its healing capacity. In the Psalms, David says, "we are fearfully and wonderfully made". Even after 3000 yrs that statement is more appropriate with every revolution and function the body reveals. I continually aim to get back to the cause of the problem, correct, and teach lifestyles that will honor your health and well being.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet Esther! 🌟

If you’ve ever been greeted with kindness, helped with billing, or felt genuinely cared for in our office — chances are, Esther played a role. 💛

With 34 YEARS as part of the Hutsell Chiropractic family (yes, you read that right!), Esther is our steady presence, our behind-the-scenes superhero, and someone who fills in wherever she’s needed.

✨ What she loves most about working here:
I love, and am grateful for, the culture of genuine kindness and honor at our office. From employee to patient, everyone is treated with kindness and respect. I cherish the friendships that get built over the years with patients.

✨ Favorite wellness habits:
I can’t just pick one! I use my Fringe lights almost daily. I use the wrap and recently started using the face mask as well. I also love the quality supplements I take. They make a high impact on my physical/mental health.

✨ Days off look like:
I’m often meeting someone at a coffee shop or going on a walk together. I listen to a lot of podcasts and audio books while I’m catching up on things at home. One thing that’s important to me is my faith in God so I regularly attend church on Sunday mornings which helps me grow in my faith as well as deepen friendships and build community.

✨ Coffee or tea?
Both — coffee with cream ☕️ and fresh mint tea straight from my spearmint patch 🌿

✨ Favorite season:
Summer ☀️ I love all the sunshine and the warmth. And seeing the flowers everywhere brings such happiness to my heart. I enjoy kayaking as well.

✨ Favorite local spot:
Main Street Roasters — warm, cozy, and perfect for connecting with friends.

Words carry power.
They can help, heal, hinder, hurt, harm, humiliate… or humble. ✨

There are energy scales for words. Not surprisingly, words like love and gratitude are on the high-frequency end and create. Whereas shame and guilt are in the low end and destroy. Just like putting high-energy food (whole foods minus preservatives calories and GMOs) into our mouth creates quality, we need to put quality words into our life.

When my family was young, we ran across the book “The Hidden Messages of Water’ By Masaru Emoto. It’s a book about experiments with ice crystals from water that was exposed to different words and the dramatic visual effect the words have on the molecular structure of the water. Think about it, humans are 70% water. How do our thoughts, words, and self-talk affect our physiology? We did experiments in our home and planted seeds labeled with words. It was amazing to see seeds flourish and grow with the word LOVE, while seeds labeled with HATE would fail to grow.

It’s such a powerful principle for our health to be filled with good words and thoughts but it is incredibly difficult.

Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”

It’s only through God and the power of the Holy Spirit we can be optimistic and filled with the creative power that can heal us, lighten another’s load, and brighten their day.

At the beginning of every year, my family and the office challenges each other to chose one word that resonates with our desire for growth and transformation. Each of us has a story as to why that word was chosen. The word often comes after lots of prayer and contemplation and then hits like a lightning bolt of inspiration and you know it’s yours.

We invite you to join us. Choose a word that challenges you to grow and transform into your best self. It may be THE healthiest thing you do. ✨

🎄 Holiday Health Reminder from Dr. Hutsell 🎄

This season isn’t about losing progress — it’s about being triumphant in your health. 💪✨
A few simple strategies can help you feel your best all the way through the holidays:

🚶‍♂️ Keep moving — a walk after meals (especially with family!) helps prevent blood sugar spikes
😴 Protect your sleep — even one lost hour can increase cravings and lower willpower
🌬 Manage stress intentionally — nasal breathing activates calm and supports your nervous system

Remember: accept what you can’t change, take action where you can, and give yourself grace along the way. 💛
