Today is National Laundry Day! While living at Heritage House there is no need to worry about doing your own personal laundry. For an extra fee, one of our friendly staff members will wash, dry, and put away that laundry for you. Instead of all the worry about clean laundry, you are able to enjoy these spring days with friends and family members.

Happy Work Anniversary to Shawna Yoder! Shawna has worked as a dayshift Personal Care Assistant for the past 11 years and has also helped in our housekeeping, dietary, and maintenance departments as well. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, sons, and has a love for animals.

Spring has sprung and with that April showers brings, van rides! Now that the snow is gone and warmer weather is approaching, it's time to head on our facility van and see all the changes that have happened since last winter. Shopping trips, lunch outings, and even some cookie visits are back on the roster!

Easter fun happened right here at Heritage House over the past two weeks. Residents first spent one afternoon helping out the Easter Bunny with filling up colorful eggs, replaying stories of when their kids and grandkids would hunt eggs.

Then, Heritage House held its annual Easter Egg Hunt for resident's family and staff where kids ran through the grass to gather eggs. Four lucky kids found the golden eggs and won the grand prizes. It was quite a sight to see! Heritage House hopes everyone will had a blessed Easter.

Heritage House would like to wish DonnaBell Greeson a Happy Birthday today! 🎉

She was born and raised in Kosciusko County with her one sister on her family farm. She started working at 9 years old pulling weeds out of the mint marsh. She then began working at the B&B Restaurant where she met her husband. She graduated from New Paris High School and married her husband in 1956 and had 3 girls and 1 boy. DonnaBell worked at the B&B Restaurant for 42 years where she became an owner then worked at Greencroft for 11 years. She enjoyed traveling and lost count of how many cruises she went on. What DonnaBell loves to do now is playing cards, doing puzzles, and spending time with the friends she has made here. DonnaBell said, "You get to meet people who you were friends with a long ago and you get to make new ones."

Happy Birthday to Esther Stichter! 🎉

Esther was born and raised in Nappanee with her three brothers. She lived on her family farm and most days were spent milking cows by hand and doing normal farm chores. She started high school and began taking typing classes. Upon graduating she worked at Coppes Kitchen as a stenographer. She met husband at church and they were soon married and had 3 children. Esther and her husband moved to a farm outside of Breman where they had a cattle farm. While living there she loved attending church activities, tending to her garden, and spending time with her boys.

When her 3 boys were in high school she had her daughter and when she was old enough to attend school she worked in the Breman school cafeteria for 20 years. Her husband loved to go to auctions and Esther began to help him when their daughter graduated school. Her retirement consisted of antiquing with her husband and gardening. Esther now likes to do crossword puzzles, calling and visiting her friends and family, and doing the variety of activities at Heritage House.
