Heritage House would like to wish Pat Yoder a Happy Birthday today. Pat was born and raised in the Nappanee area with her 10 siblings. They lived on the farm and then moved into town where she attended the local high school. While in high school she worked at Blue Bell making Wrangler jeans. Pat has also worked at Pacific Triangle, managed a pizza parlor, and worked at Nappanee Wood. She met and married her husband in 1961 and had two children, one boy and one girl. Pat says she was always busy visiting family members and her and her husband loved to dance together. When they were able to retire and travel they visited almost every state and even went over into Europe.

A special trip was on the books last night and tonight for residents at Heritage House. We spent two nights heading over to Shipshewana to do a drive-thru of their Christmas display. Sparkles, twinkle lights, and chilly weather was the theme as residents enjoyed the wonderful set up of lights to get in the holiday spirit.

Once a year Assisted Living Managers from Miller's Health Systems gather for our end of year wrap up meeting. It was a great meeting discussing issues, developing future goals, and bouncing off ideas to help better our own communities.

Pat and DonnaBell spent some time prepping the blessing mix for Thanksgiving Day. The blessing mix is our annual mix prepared for all those family and friends that come into the facility this holiday season.

A "blessing mix" is a type of snack mix, often prepared around Thanksgiving, where each ingredient symbolizes a specific blessing or aspect of the holiday story. Staff and residents wish a everyone a very blessed Thanksgiving this year.

Please wish Robert Wolfe a very Happy Birthday today! 🥳

Robert, or known as Bob to many, was born and raised in Willshire, Ohio with his nine brothers and sisters. Bob says he was an ornery kid and loved to be mischievous while living and traveling with his family. A unique fact is that his father was a Spanish American War Veteran and only had one arm. He received his GED and spent the next serval decades working at Nispco. He met his wife in 1951 and the have five children, lots of grandchildren, and even more great grandchildren. He has spent his years of retirement bonding with the Lord, traveling with his Holiday Rambler, and loving his growing family.
