Hearing the Call – Day 4 in Turks & Caicos 🇹🇨✨

Our final day was spent at a local school, and what a day it was—smiling faces, joyful energy, and so many little ears tested. 👧🏾👦🏼💙

Early detection of hearing loss is so important—it gives kids the chance to learn, grow, and fully engage with the world around them. We’re honored to play a small part in helping make that possible.

Thank you, Turks & Caicos, for welcoming us with open arms. Until next time! 💫

Hearing the Call – Day 3 in Turks & Caicos! 🇹🇨👂

Another amazing day on the island! We’ve been busy seeing lots of kids and adults, helping them hear more clearly—and experiencing all the unexpected things that come with travel.

Today’s highlight? Grand Turk’s famous wild donkeys roaming the island! 🫏 Yes, really—just one more reason this outreach trip is unforgettable.

We’re so grateful to be part of this special trip, making a difference one ear at a time. 💙

Hearing the Call – Day 2 in Turks & Caicos! 🇹🇨👂

We’re back at it—partnering with the local government to screen kids in schools and identify hearing issues early. It’s truly inspiring to witness the community’s dedication to giving every child a chance to be heard.

👧🏽👦🏾 Early intervention can make all the difference in a child’s education, confidence, and future.

How do you think early hearing care can impact a child’s life? Drop your thoughts in the comments—we’d love to hear from you! 💬

We’re seeing so many children on our Hearing the Call outreach trip in Turks & Caicos, and let’s just say… we never know what we’ll find! From beads to actual crickets (yes, really 🦗), we’ve had some unexpected surprises in little ears.

But the best part? Watching their faces light up. This is why we do what we do—giving back, changing lives, and making a real impact.

Thank you to everyone who supports making a difference! 💙

Every Clinical Humanitarian Trip holds a special place in the hearts of our fellow volunteers. This incredible team of audiologists fit 172 hearing aids in just four days!

The smiles, hugs, and even a few tears from our patients remind us just how vital access to hearing care is for this community in Mexico.

This is why we do what we do.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

Born with Microtia, a congenital condition where the external ear is underdeveloped, Louis visited Integra seeking help to improve his hearing. For years, he had struggled with hearing aids that either didn’t work effectively or constantly fell off his ear.

On Sunday, he came to our team hoping for a solution. By Monday, they had collaborated to find a few options to help Louis securely wear his new hearing aid.

As you can see, he left satisfied, sharing a wonderful hearing smile!

We love seeing returning patients! Meet Abril and her twin sister, Ashly. Abril visited our partner, Integra, in Mexico last year in 2024. Before receiving her hearing aids, she struggled to hear her teachers, build friendships, and communicate with her family. Now, after nearly a year of using her devices, Abril is thriving—she actively participates in class and has built new friendships.

But this visit wasn’t just a check-up for Abril. Recently, Ashly began experiencing some hearing difficulties in school. After testing, we found a slight hearing loss in one ear that could benefit from a hearing aid. Once fitted, she immediately noticed the difference and was thrilled to have her own device!

We are overjoyed to see these sisters connect more with the world around them and continue exploring life with curiosity and confidence.

Who volunteers for Hearing the Call? Of course, there are many generous audiologists who travel from the U.S. to help hundreds of hearing impaired individuals across the world. But there are also people who have careers outside the medical field, and they’re able to contribute in so many meaningful ways. From registration, to earmolds, to directing patients from room to room, each person who gives back is an essential part of a successful clinic.

What’s one of the biggest challenges of Hearing the Call trips? Testing children in makeshift clinics! Nevertheless, the volunteer audiologists know how to get creative and have fun while getting accurate testing to really change the path of the kids’ lives. The nonprofit tries to fit children with two devices (when needed) because it will dramatically improve their success rate in schools and in their family.
