Today is International Women’s Day

And while we celebrate the strength of women everywhere, we also want to remind you ... your health matters too.

If you’ve been feeling “off” lately low energy, mood shifts, poor sleep, brain fog... it may be more than just stress. Hormonal changes are common, especially in perimenopause and menopause.

For some women, provider-prescribed BHRT can be part of a personalized plan. Compounding allows for customized dosing designed around your needs.

Because women’s health isn’t one-size-fits-all.

If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind the precision and care that goes into compounded medications here at Wingate’s … there’s a good chance Teaghan had a hand in it.

As one of our lab compounding technicians, she plays a key role in making sure each prescription is prepared accurately and thoughtfully. It’s detailed work that requires focus, patience, and a whole lot of care — and she brings all three every day.

Outside the lab? Teaghan loves giraffes and elephants and would happily spend her free time reading on the beach with a good book in hand.

We’re grateful to have her as part of the Wingate’s team!

Love Your Pet Day is about the bond that never fades.

Our pets are family. They’re there for the quiet moments, the routines, the unconditional love — and sometimes, the hardest goodbyes.

One of the things we’re most grateful for is hearing how much that care and connection matters to the people we serve. As Kelly shared in her review, what stood out wasn’t just timely prescriptions or clear communication — it was feeling supported and cared for, even during a difficult moment.

That’s the heart of what Love Your Pet Day means to us.
Thoughtful care. Compassion. And treating every pet (and pet parent) with the respect they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who trusts us with their pets’ care. It’s an honor we don’t take lightly

February can be a tough month.

The holidays are long over. The days are still short. And for some people, it’s not just “winter blues” — it’s feeling more tired than usual, less motivated, or just not quite like yourself.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) can show up in subtle ways:
• Low energy, even after rest
• Changes in sleep or appetite
• Trouble concentrating
• Feeling more withdrawn than usual

One thing many people don’t realize is that winter can also affect nutrient levels that play a role in mood and energy — like vitamin D, B vitamins, omega-3s, and magnesium. These nutrients are often discussed in relation to overall brain health and wellness, especially during months with less sunlight.

If winter feels harder this year, it may be worth having a conversation — whether that’s with your provider or your pharmacist — about how you’re feeling and what support might help. Sometimes small adjustments, including reviewing supplements or routines, can make a meaningful difference.

February is Heart Health Month, and for many people that means thinking about the medications they take every day.

If you manage heart-related prescriptions, you know it’s more than just remembering a pill. It’s dealing with side effects, keeping up with schedules, and sometimes wondering if what you’re taking still feels right for your body.

One important thing to remember: if a heart medication feels hard to take, confusing, or uncomfortable, that’s worth a conversation — not something you have to push through on your own.

Your pharmacist can help you understand your medications, talk through what’s not working, and, when appropriate, work with your provider to explore options that better support your routine and comfort.

Heart health is personal, and your care should be too. If you have questions, start with your pharmacist — we’re here to help.

The hesitation on the stairs.
The longer time it takes to get up.
The walks that aren’t quite as long as they used to be.

Just like people, animals can develop arthritis as they age — and managing it isn’t always one-size-fits-all.

That’s where compounded medications can help. With a prescription from your veterinarian, medications can sometimes be prepared in forms or doses that are easier for pets to take — especially when standard options aren’t a good fit.

Because comfort matters at every stage of life — for the pets who’ve been by our side all along.

If your veterinarian has prescribed treatment for arthritis, we’re here to help support that care.

Up to 50% of patients don’t take medications as directed.
Not because they don’t care — but because something about the medication doesn’t fit.

Maybe it’s hard to swallow.
Maybe the side effects are frustrating.
Maybe the schedule just doesn’t work with real life.

Here’s the important part:
That doesn’t mean you failed. It may mean the medication needs adjusting.

Before skipping doses or stopping a prescription, talk to your pharmacist. We can help you think through what’s not working and, when appropriate, work with your provider to explore options.

Medication should work with you — not against you.

If something feels off, let’s talk.

Your thyroid may be small, but it plays a big role in how your body functions — from energy levels and metabolism to mood, heart rate, and temperature regulation.

For many people managing thyroid conditions, finding the right medication fit can take time. Dosing needs may change, sensitivities can develop, and consistency matters.

That’s where your pharmacist can be a valuable part of the care team.

With a prescription from your provider, compounded thyroid medications may offer options when standard formulations don’t feel like the right fit — whether that’s due to dosage needs, ingredient sensitivities, or form preferences.

If you’re managing a thyroid condition and have questions about your medication, don’t struggle in silence.

Ask your pharmacist. We’re here to help support your care.
