About Bobb Maio
Bobb Maio has been a student of Jiulong Baguazhang under the tutelage of Dr. John P. Painter and Shifu Robert Castaldo for over 20 years. Maio is currently a certified Shizi (teacher) of the Jiulong Baguazhang martial, weapons and health Qigong systems, holding classes in the Merrimac New Hampshire area. Maio has also studied Taijiquan under Master William C.C. Chen and Master Jou, Tsung Hwa and other styles of internal martial arts.

According to our Shifu John Painter, the Li Family created two variations of Standing (Zhan Zhuang) Qigong - one method for health and longevity (Jiankang) and the other for combat preparation (Zhandou). While the two methods may appear similar, the body postures and mental attitudes are quite different.
