Why dōTERRA?

Have you ever discovered something totally by accident? You had no intention of finding a solution to a problem, yet the answer just showed up one day when you were doing something totally unrelated? That’s what happened with dōTERRA and me. dōTERRA products are internationally sourced to find pure, organically grown ingredients for their essential oils, oil blends, and other products. While the company doesn’t make medical claims and does recommend seeking your physician’s opinion before starting any supplements, the company also believes in the health and wellness benefits of their products. For me, I see a return to the origins of today’s medicine because plants are where medications originate and plants are where essential oils originate. Here’s how dōTERRA found me.

I was getting a massage (stay with me, please, I’m really not a spoiled, self-indulgent brat) because a medical condition I have causes my connective tissue to dry out and harden (so I do go for a massage when the pain gets pretty bad). I was talking with the massage therapist about my migraine headaches and she said, “Have you ever tried peppermint oil?” I was flummoxed. Why would peppermint oil help my migraines? She explained I should put a drop on each temple and rub them in, that this would alleviate a lot of my headache pain. Lo and behold, she was right! Who knew?

I told a friend who also suffers from migraines and she told me about dōTERRA. I looked further into the company and really appreciated the Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils they source from around the world. Then I discovered peppermint rollerballs and fell in love because they worked so well. What did I do? I bought a handful of peppermint rollerballs and gave them away singing praises of dōTERRA all the way. After that, I signed up to be able to order all of the dōTERRA products (oh yes, there ARE more than oils!) I wanted at a discount. Then I realized I shouldn’t keep these therapeutic, helpful, uplifting, non-chemical products to myself. I needed to share them with others who might not know how wonderful they are. So I am!!
