I am 1 in 10 that have endometriosis and through a 6 year health journey found that out. After CT scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy, elimitaion diets, and health coaches, I finally asked to get surgery for endometriosis. This is an exploratory surgery that isnt guaranteed to find Endo. It is just that you have ruled out every other disease that you are ready to try surgery to know what is the problem. In January 2022, an endometriosis specialsit in nashville removed 40 spots of endometriosis. This was such a relief to know. Waking up from surgery asking did they find anything and getting confirmation that it is not all in your head.
Sadly, there is not cure for this disease, just symptom management. Often when symptoms return to a point that is unmangaable and you have to get surgery again. My doctor said most likely every 2-5yrs. This chronic illness I dont wish upon any person and hopefully through research this will be a disease that can be cured. Please consider donating to be apart of improving the lives of those that live with this debilitating disease.

From September 16-22, we invite you to join endo allies across the country for the End Endo 5K, a virtual event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for EndoFound!

What is the End Endo 5K?
The End Endo 5K is a unique event where participants around the world come together to move 5 kilometers (or 3.1 miles!) in any way they choose. Whether you walk, run, hike, bike, or even rollerskate, your participation helps support crucial research, education, and advocacy efforts for endometriosis.

My sister and I created a support group for endometriosis warriors. We gather to offer understanding and support to each other with wherever we are at in our process, Post kids, Pre-surgery, Post menapause or any other stage of life. It is for you to share your story and find community in the process. Lets empower each other as endosisters!
