When working parents πŸ’» are feeling pulled in so many directions, it's common to feel guilt or shame πŸ˜” due to thoughts like:

πŸ’ "I SHOULD be taking care of myself πŸ›€, I SHOULD be more present with my family πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦; I SHOULD be PRIORITIZING my health and family over my work, but I just don't have time for it all!" 🫨πŸ₯Ί

☝️Here's a tip: adventure outside with your family or little ones! 🐾πŸͺΊπŸŒ±

You will be tending to your mental 🧠, emotional πŸ™, and physical health πŸ’ͺ while spending invaluable time with your family ❀️.

😌 It will give you a literal breath of fresh air in your fast-paced life 🏍️, it will allow you to practice LIVING in the present moment πŸ“Έ instead of letting time/life pass you by ⏳, and it will forever be a fond memory for everyone πŸ–ΌοΈ.

🌟 How to Realistically Fulfill the "New Year, New Me" Resolution 🌟

πŸ‘€ According to a recent survey conducted by Forbes Health/OnePoll, only 20% of respondents said they hold themselves accountable when it comes to sticking to their New Year's resolutions 🀯.

πŸš€ This year, I encourage you to revise your resolutions to include prioritizing your mental health which is πŸ”‘ to living a fulfilling life and to thriving amidst chaos.

So as we begin this year, I'm committing to prioritizing my mental well-being 🧠 by:

1. Taking time for myself

2. Indulging in activities that bring me joy

3. Continuing to see my own therapist (yes - we therapists see our own therapists πŸ’ͺ)

πŸ™Œ How will you prioritize your mental health? πŸ€”

Cheers to a fresh start and a year filled with growth and mental well-being! 🌈

πŸŽ„βœ¨ Feeling overwhelmed by the holiday hustle? You're not alone! 🌟 Amidst the festive cheer, it's okay to admit that this season can bring its own set of challenges. If you're battling holiday anxiety, remember, you're not alone in this. πŸ’š Here are a few tips to navigate the stress and find your holiday calm:

Acknowledge Your Feelings: πŸ€” It's normal to feel a mix of emotions during the holidays. Give yourself permission to feel and recognize what you need.

Set Realistic Expectations: 🎁 Release the pressure of perfection. Embrace the beauty of imperfection and set achievable goals for yourself.

Create Boundaries: ⛔️ Saying 'no' is a gift to yourself. Set boundaries to protect your time and energy. Your well-being is most important.

Focus on Connections: 🀝 Reach out to loved ones or find local events. Connecting with others can bring comfort and support during this season.

Mindful Moments: πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Incorporate mindfulness into your day. A few deep breaths or a moment of reflection can do wonders for your mental well-being.

Remember, the holidays are about connection, not perfection. Be kind to yourself and take the time you need to enjoy the season in a way that feels right for you. πŸ’™βœ¨
