🍂✨ The “BER” months are here—September, October, November, December! ✨🍂

That means it’s officially time to fire up your immune system and get it ready for the colder months ahead. Flu, colds, Covid… they all seem to ramp up this time of year, and prevention is key—especially if you’re already living with a health condition.

Here are some simple, powerful ways to keep your immune system strong:
✅ Get enough vitamin D + zinc
✅ Prioritize rest & quality sleep
✅ Soak up sunlight & grounding time outdoors
✅ Fill your plate with colorful fruits & veggies (mushrooms are a powerhouse!)
✅ Keep moving with regular exercise
✅ Protect your mental health—stress directly affects your physical health

💪 A strong immune system is your best defense going into winter. Start building it today so you can stay well, feel energized, and enjoy all the things this season has to offer.

👉 What’s one immune-boosting habit you’ll be focusing on this September?

🍂✨ Weekend vibes are here, and I can already feel the change in the air! The cooler air this week is such a reminder that fall is on its way.

I’m looking forward to everything the new season brings—bonfires, spending more time outside with family, moving my body, making cozy pumpkin soup from fresh pumpkins, and of course, visiting pumpkin patches. 🍁🎃 Did I mention making healthy pumpkin spice lattes? ☕️

Change of seasons is such a beautiful time to reset, slow down, and savor the little things. Here’s to health, joy, and all the cozy moments ahead. 💛 🎃

What’s your favorite fall tradition that you look forward to this year?

To all my ladies out there…

🍑 Why Dried Apricots Deserve a Spot in Your Pantry 🍑

Dried apricots are more than just a sweet snack – they’re little nutrient powerhouses with BIG benefits:

✨ Phytoestrogens – These plant-based compounds may help balance hormones, support bone health, and ease some menopausal symptoms.

✨ Heart Health – Rich in potassium and fiber, they can help regulate blood pressure and support healthy cholesterol levels.

✨ Digestive Support – The natural fiber keeps things moving smoothly and supports a healthy gut.

✨ Iron Boost – Dried apricots are a plant-based source of iron, which supports healthy energy levels and helps prevent anemia.

✨ Antioxidants – Packed with vitamins A & C, they protect your cells and support glowing skin and strong immunity.

💡 Tip: Since dried fruit is more concentrated, a small handful goes a long way! Pair them with a handful of nuts for balanced energy.

✨🦋✨
Change isn’t always easy — but it’s often exactly what we need.

Think about the butterfly. 🦋
It doesn’t become something beautiful without first going through an uncomfortable transformation.
In the stillness of the cocoon, everything changes. The old form dissolves, and something entirely new begins to take shape.

That’s what healing can feel like.
That’s what growth can look like. 🌱

If you’re in a season of transition — physically, emotionally, or spiritually — take heart.
You are not breaking down.
You are breaking through.

Embrace the process. Trust the timing.
Beautiful things are unfolding.

✨🦋 Healing Essentials

There are three essential things to remember when it comes to your health:
1. Listen to your body.
2. Give it what it needs.
3. Don’t give up on the healing process.

Some healing takes time—sometimes a long time. I’ve been working on one area of my health for many, many years. And just this past Friday, I received incredibly encouraging news from my doctor. 🙌

When I shared it with my mom, she said something that really stuck with me:
“You’re a determined person. Most people would’ve given up by now or never even tried this hard.”

And she’s right. Healing isn’t easy. But if we want to feel good… if we want to thrive… we have to keep going.

Sometimes we just need support.
We need someone to help us stay focused and not lose hope.

💚 That’s where a health coach comes in.

Life has been non-stop lately. ✈️ 🚙 🏖️ 👀

I’ve traveled to five different states in a period of about two months and I’m headed out again this coming weekend. My kiddo moved out and we renovated his room to be our home office. In addition, I’m deeply grateful to be involved in ministry leading worship and teaching others to do the same.
Did I mention, we have a wedding coming up next month for our son?! 😜
And I also have a research job that I love with a project I’m incredibly passionate about… 🙌 Whew!

But here’s the truth: even in the midst of purpose and passion, we still need rest.
Sometimes, you have to press pause and just breathe.

If life has felt like a whirlwind for you too, I want to encourage you—take a moment today to do something that brings you peace. Something that allows you to exhale and fully relax.

This morning, I slowed down. I’m spending time just hanging out with my hubby. 💕
We’re about to go shopping together, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. It’s simple, but it’s good for my soul.

What can you do today to care for yours?

Greens may help athletes improve their performance and benefit people with high blood pressure and peripheral artery disease. Greens are win-win—rich in nitrates and a good source of potassium. The nitrates from green leafy vegetables are converted to nitric oxide in our body, and potassium increases nitric oxide release.

Nitric oxide from vegetable nitrates, from greens, for instance, not only improves oxygen efficiency, but also oxygen delivery by vasodilation of blood vessels—that is, by opening up our arteries so there’s more blood flow. We can improve our artery function within minutes of consuming greens.

Of all the food groups analyzed by a team of Harvard University researchers, greens were found to be associated with the strongest protection against major chronic diseases. Each additional daily serving may reduce our risk of both heart attacks and strokes up to about 20 percent.

Greens can be added to nearly any meal—in soups, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and on. If eating more greens, such as kale or collards, is intimidating to you, just chop them up and cook them down.

BIG NEWS! 👀✨
🚶‍♀️ 7,000 Steps Is the New 10,000! 🚶‍♂️

A brand-new mega-study published in The Lancet analyzed 57 studies with tens of thousands of people—and the results are powerful:

✨ Walking 7,000 steps/day (instead of 2,000) can:
✅ Cut your risk of dying in HALF
🧠 Reduce dementia risk by 40%
❤️ Cut heart disease risk by 35%

Turns out, the old 10,000-step goal? It was more of a marketing myth than science.

The real takeaway: Move your body. Daily. Intentionally.

If you’re not at 7,000 steps yet, no worries—start where you are and build gradually. Even small increases can make a big difference to reaching goals. Then keep going, if you want, but 7000 is the general goal…

Your health is worth every step. 💚
