💙 Terry’s Story: Saved by Swift Care and a Loving Team 💙

When Terry Langford felt chest pain and shortness of breath, she turned to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital and found more than just medical care. She found a team that showcased excellence and compassion in action 🏥❤️

Thanks to fast action by Dr. Roshan Mathew and a compassionate care team, life-threatening blood clots were discovered and removed just in time. Terry is now home, healing, and holding her loved ones close. 🙏

“We’ve been together 46 years,” her husband Steve shared. “They saved her and cared for us like family.”

Congratulations to Centennial Heart physicians and medical team for completing their 1500th Watchman procedure today at the Centennial Heart & Vascular Center at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.

“The program has been active for about 10 years now,” stated Dr. Andrew Goodman. “We’ve seen exponential growth over the last several years in this field. 1500 cases represent a nice milestone for the program and the hospital, reflecting all the time and effort that not just the doctors put in, but all of our nurses, coordinators, and people in our office to help make this possible.”

The Watchman procedure is a minimally invasive heart treatment for patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who have difficulty taking long-term blood thinners. It closes off a small area of the heart where clots tend to form, reducing stroke risk. Some of the benefits for patients may include:

✔️ Reduced risk for stroke
✔️ Minimally invasive procedure
✔️ May eliminate the need for blood thinners

Talk to your cardiologist to see if it’s right for you. 🫀
