SNAP recipients have received calls today from individuals pretending to be a DHS caseworker to steal personal information. Scammers are telling clients that their SNAP benefits will be blocked unless the client verifies their identity.

DO NOT give out personal information via phone unless you are certain of the person's identity. If you are unsure, call DHS Family Assistance Center at 1-866-311-4287 or check your One DHS Portal for updates.

If you have given your information report it immediately to DHS and the authorities. We recommend monitoring your SNAP card, downloading the ebtEDGE app on your smart phone, which will allow you to lock and unlock your SNAP EBT card. You may also call 888-997-9444 or visit www.connectebt.com to change your PIN.
