Feeling stretched thin? Snapping at the people you love? It might not be just exhaustion; it could be a sign your boundaries need a reset.

This isn’t about shutting people out. It’s about protecting your peace so you can show up with more presence, more patience, and more purpose.

It starts with a pause.

I absolutely love this post from Even Jesus had boundaries!

He stepped away from the crowds. He rested. He said no. He chose quiet over proving. Presence over pressure. Connection with the Father over constant doing.

If the Son of God modeled boundaries, how much more do we need them, especially as parents?

Setting boundaries isn’t selfish. It’s spiritual. It creates space for rest, for connection, for healing. And your kids don’t just need a parent who’s available. They need one who’s rooted.

So let this be your reminder: boundaries aren’t barriers to love. They’re what make deep, lasting love sustainable.

If it feels like your child goes from 0 to 100 over the smallest thing… you’re not doing anything wrong.
Their brain just isn’t fully built yet.

This doesn’t mean they’re “too emotional”, it means they’re still developing the tools to cope.
And your connected presence? It’s one of the greatest tools they’ve got.

Having this perspective opens the door to authentic connection.
Remember the three P’s:
- Prepare
- Prioritize
- Perspective

Sometimes the hardest part of growth is realizing what’s no longer working.

It’s not weakness. It’s wisdom.
And when that quiet nudge turns into a holy discomfort, don’t ignore it. That may just be the moment God is inviting you into something new.

Thank you to the wisdom of, john_townsend

This quiet week between Christmas and New Year’s is more than a pause, it’s an invitation.

In the stillness, God speaks. Not in the chaos or the noise, but in the whisper. Just like He did with Elijah.

If your house is filled with laughter, crumbs underfoot, and cozy chaos, embrace it. These are the sounds of connection being built.

You don’t have to do anything. Just be still. Be present. Be open.

May you have a blessed Christmas!!Wish you joy this holiday season!

Pulled this one from the archives, and it still speaks so deeply.

A quiet reminder that even in the chaos, peace is possible. That the stillness our souls crave might just be waiting on the other side of a pause.
