This week's Touch of Chaos: Idiot, reversed

Ah, we went too far. Last week was an exercise in "Trust but verify," and this week is an exercise in discovering we do need to have a little trust in order to operate in this world. The truth of the matter is the world is not safe, and it never has been. BUT that does not mean that we can't move through it with relative safety. We can prepare ourselves. We can train and plan for moments of disaster. And we can find people we trust to have our backs. We are not islands. We are not in this alone. We do have each other.

This week's Touch of Chaos: Idiot

I kind of love this depiction of The Fool. Naivete can sometimes masquerade as Trust. While trust can be a really beautiful (and important) thing, misplaced trust gets us into a whole world of s**t. This is a good week to employ the old "trust but verify" approach. Don't just blindly follow the crowd. Ask questions. Do research. Consider that there might be more information than what is readily available to you.
