Maybe you’ve been trying to find space to practice vulnerability & connection for a while, or maybe you’ve had no idea where to start at all - Either way, this group is for you.⁠⁣

We explore topics like masculinity (toxic & otherwise), relationships & connections, anxiety, self-esteem, and more while giving each group member time and space to share and connect with one another on life and their emotional world.⁠⁣
⁠⁣
This group is facilitated by Sam DiMartino, one of our resident softboys™ who knows defining masculinity (and yourself) is personal and practicing vulnerability can be tough but having the right space to do so can make all the difference.⁠⁣

WHO: Adults (18+) male-identifying, nonbinary, transmasculine⁠⁣
WHEN: Cohort A: 2nd & 4th Monday of each month, 5:30-6:45 pm, Cohort B: 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month, 3:30-4:45pm⁣

Meet Deja’nelle Adams, BA (she/her), one of our newest graduate interns 🥳⁣
⁣
Deja’nelle is currently completing her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Trevecca Nazarene University.⁣
⁣
She works with ages 13+ (individuals and couples). She is especially passionate about helping adolescents dealing with life transitions and working with relationship dynamics that include pre-marital work, family dynamics, and discernment. She also enjoys working with anxiety, depression, and emerging identities.⁣
⁣
As a Black woman, Deja’nelle also particularly enjoys supporting other BIPOC folks.⁣
⁣
She integrates elements from IFS/parts work, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Bowen, and Emotionally Focused Therapy in her sessions depending on each client’s needs. ⁣
⁣
When Deja’nelle isn’t working, you will find her watching the newest movie at a theatre (she loves Marvel!) She also loves going to concerts and seeing new talent in Nashville. One of her favorite things to do is play a game of Uno with friends and family. She is also a huge fan of reality TV, especially Big Brother & Traitors.⁣

Guided grounding, reflective journaling, symbolic release, and shared intention-setting will be woven together in a calm and supportive community space.⁠⁣

She is also a staff singer in her church choir, enjoys spending time with her husband, dogs and their college-aged kids.⁣

Based on the Reciprocity Ring model (and inspired by indigenous frameworks that preceded it), this monthly event is built on the principles of mutual aid, where people bring forward needs (logistical, emotional, creative, or otherwise) and the group offers help, including but not limited to resources, connections, ideas, assistance, listening, and solidarity.⁠⁣
⁠⁣
Gaia’s Web is rooted in what is often called generalized reciprocity: helping others without expecting immediate return, trusting that acts of giving circulate and strengthen communal well-being.⁠⁣
⁠⁣
This gathering meets at our office on the 1st Saturday of each month from 10-11am, with a virtual option available (come in person if you can).⁣
⁠⁣
