Not every dinner needs to be creative—this is one of my go-to “don’t feel like trying” meals that still checks the boxes 🙃

Protein + carbs + fiber + something that actually tastes good

What’s your go-to low effort dinner lately?

A repeat favorite over here 🌮

These shrimp tacos are one of my go-to realistic weeknight dinners because they come together so fast and still feel fresh and satisfying. Quick slaw, frozen shrimp, whatever toppings we have on hand, and more time to actually enjoy being outside together.

And honestly, because I wasn’t stressed trying to cook something from scratch, it made it so much easier to be present with my meal and actually listen to what felt good and when I was satisfied.

Repeat meals are not boring — they’re often what make weeknights work 💛

A realistic work from home lunch using leftovers 🍚

Warm rice and broccoli from last night’s dinner topped with spicy tuna, Bachan’s, and sesame seeds.

A reminder that balanced lunches do not need to be planned perfectly or made from scratch. Leftovers + convenience foods can make such an easy, satisfying meal on a busy work day.

Balanced > perfect 🤍

A realistic work from home lunch 🍍

Today’s lunch was built with convenience foods: store-bought chicken salad, a whole wheat wrap, precut pineapple, and pea sprouts on the side.

A reminder that balanced meals do not need to be homemade from scratch. Convenience foods can absolutely be part of a nourishing meal and often make it easier to eat well on busy days.

Balanced > perfect 🤍

what my family actually eats for dinner 🍽️

Tonight was a one-pan chickpea orzo with ground turkey, zucchini, tomatoes, and lots of parmesan at the end because obviously.

This comes out to about 30g protein + 7g fiber per serving, which makes it such an easy balanced weeknight meal that still feels realistic for a busy family.

Best part? Baby approved ✔️

Would y’all want more realistic family dinner ideas?

Balanced meals don’t have to be complicated.

This is a pretty typical lunch for me between work calls — eggs, spinach, avocado, toast, and Pace salsa (which I’ve loved since I was a kid).

It’s quick, satisfying, and hits the basics:
~20 g protein and ~11 g fiber.

And yes — the salsa stays. I’ve eaten it since I was little and it makes the meal more satisfying, which is actually really important for preventing overeating or grazing later.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to mean 10+ ingredients or cutting out foods you enjoy.

What my family actually eats for dinner as a dietitian and mom.

Tonight: crispy tofu, rice, and cucumber salad with peanut sauce.

This one came out to about 25 grams of protein and ~6–8 grams of fiber, so it’s simple but still really satisfying.

Tofu is one of my favorite easy proteins because it takes on whatever flavors you add.

Reminder that packaged foods can absolutely be part of a healthy lifestyle.

Tonight’s dinner was leftover pasta with ground turkey, jarred sauce, and steamed broccoli — about 24g protein and ~7g fiber.

Balanced meals don’t have to be complicated.

Follow for realistic nutrition.

This is what “balanced” looks like in real life.

No fancy sauces.
No complicated prep.
No separate “adult” and “baby” meals.

Just:
• protein
• fiber
• flavor
• and 15 minutes

You don’t need perfect meals.
You need repeatable ones.

If you want more realistic dinners from a dietitian + mom, follow along 🤍

Struggling with fatigue, breakouts, or constant bloating? 🤔Your gut might be trying to tell you something.

A gut imbalance doesn’t just show up in stomach issues—it can impact your skin, energy, immunity, and even your mental well-being.

➡️Why does this happen?
Your gut microbiome plays a key role in absorbing nutrients, regulating inflammation, supporting your immune system, and even producing neurotransmitters like serotonin (the “feel-good” chemical). When your gut is out of balance, your entire body FEELs it.

🔥The good news? Healing your gut can help you feel better in all of these areas!

If you’re ready to get to the root of your gut issues and start feeling like yourself again, my Gut Health Rehab Program is here to help. No more guessing, no more unnecessary food restrictions—just a clear, sustainable path to better gut health 🌿 Comment “GUT HEALTH” and I’ll send you a message!

If you’ve ever felt discouraged because the scale isn’t moving—or worse, you’re letting it dictate your mood—this is your reminder that real progress goes way beyond weight.

The truth is, your body is constantly changing, and using the scale as your only measure of success ignores so many incredible ways your health and well-being can improve.

Here’s what progress really looks like:
👖Your clothes fit better and you feel more comfortable.
😊You notice an improvement in your mood and mental clarity, feeling more at peace and less stressed around food.
😴Your sleep quality improves, and you wake up feeling well-rested instead of exhausted.
🍽You’ve built a healthier relationship with food, no longer feeling guilty for enjoying what you love.
⚡You feel more energetic, with fewer crashes and more stamina to get through your day.
💃Your confidence and self-esteem grow, because you’re no longer tying your worth to the scale.

Reminder: Your progress is valid, even if you can’t measure it in pounds.

If you’re ready to ditch the scale obsession and start focusing on what actually matters for your health, my Food Freedom Program is here to guide you. Let’s work together to help you feel strong, energized, and confident, without food rules, restrictions, or the scale controlling your life. (LINK IN BIO 🔗)
