We're having ANOTHER Anti–Amazon Prime Day Sale over here. Is it our imagination or does it seem like these are happening more often?

Just a reminder. You may have been flooded with Amazon ads about "great deals". Many of those "deals" are full of fake reviews to lure customers in and cheap items (not to mention they will be shipped to you in a ridiculously large box full of plastic). There’s no guilt in the occasional Amazon purchase – we all do it. But so many small businesses are struggling, especially as the tariffs begin to hit, and just as we all need to be getting ready for the holidays (which no one knows what they will be like this year). Amazon may be able to absorb some of the higher tariffs, but small businesses can't. So we encourage you to have an "Anti-Amazon Prime Day" and shop local. Need a book? Head to your local book store! Need some gifts? Check out a small gift shop in your town. And of course, if looking for refills or eco-friendly products, look for a local refill shop. They are all over the country so do a quick google search to see if one is close by.

We applaud the ingenuity in the 1920s to turn those paper products into something useful, rather than throwing them out. But, then a new problem was created, right? Single-use tissues (and other products). Look, these reusable cloth tissues we have from may be a throwback to your grandpa's old handkerchiefs, but seriously – that wasn't such a bad thing. And the "new" part of this product is that Mary designed a smart pouch to carry them in. I think your grandpa would think they're pretty neat. Check them out.

"1 tablespoon per load."

"Nah, that can't be right. Did you say 1 tablespoon?"

"Yep, that's it!"

I know, I know, this seems like fake news, but it really is true. The laundry concentrate from really, truly, honestly just needs 1 tablespoon per load. Now, if you have an old washer, or a really big or stinky load, sure...feel free to use a smidge more. But for all your normal loads, don't use more. This is all you need.

Curious? Come by, bring a bottle, and get just a bit. You'll be amazed!
