✨ Meet Chas (she/her)! ✨
Chas is one of the incredible trauma therapists in our network at Trauma Therapy of Nashville, and we’re so excited for you to meet her!

Originally from the rainy (but super cozy) Pacific Northwest, Chas brings a grounded, warm, and deeply affirming vibe to her work. She’s all about helping folks reconnect with themselves after trauma—especially survivors of s*xual violence, intimate partner violence, and those who identify as LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent.

With a background in social work and training in Brainspotting and somatic therapy, Chas blends brain and body work with a big dose of realness and heart. Her therapy style is collaborative, flexible, and rooted in the belief that healing looks different for everyone—and that’s more than okay.

As someone with lived experience in the LGBTQIA+ and disability communities, Chas knows the power of being truly seen and understood in the therapy room.

When she’s not helping people feel more like themselves again, you can find her walking her pups, snapping dreamy photos, or vibing at a live show somewhere around town. 🎶🐾📸

We’re so lucky to have her joining our network of trauma therapists!

At our practice, we recognize the unique benefits of both Brainspotting and EMDR therapy modalities. While both approaches are effective in treating trauma and emotional distress, they offer different techniques tailored to meet individual client needs. Every therapist here is trained in Brainspotting, and many of us are also trained in EMDR, ensuring that we provide personalized, high-quality care for all our clients.

If you are looking for high quality, curated treatment modalities for mental health, we may be a good fit for you!

✨✨Death Doula Dialogues Presents ✨✨
An experiential workshop with Melanie Reese, LMFT

Hi friends! I am a therapist and trained Death Doula and really love exploring the themes surrounding this topic with clients and those who are “Death Curious”. I also work with Ketamine and psychedelic medicine and find that these medicines can be very supportive to those at End of Life (or even those facing chronic Illness or experience health anxiety).

The Death Doula Dialouges is a monthly offering that creates space to explore themes of death and how we can support those at the End of Life. I’m excited to be the March presenter!

🌿Attachment trauma refers to the emotional and psychological impact that arises from disruptions or dysfunctions in early relationships, particularly with primary caregivers.

🌿 This type of trauma can occur due to neglect, abuse, inconsistent caregiving, or loss of a caregiver.

🌿 It can also lead to difficulties in forming healthy relationships, managing emotions, and establishing a sense of self-worth.

The good news is that you can heal from Attachment Trauma and we want to help!

Whether you are grieving, in transition or looking for a way to celebrate the joys you have in this moment of life, this group may be a great fit for you!

When my dad passed about 3 years ago, I desperately searched for something to help me navigate that loss. I found “Hello, Goodbye”, a book of rituals by . I think it saved me and helped me mourn my dad. I started following the author on IG and found his other book “Morning Rituals”. It helped me to see that nothing is permanent, the pain and the joy. Grieving is a practice, just like gratitude.

In the past three years, those practices have since walked me through death anniversaries, creating ritual for the death of my animal soul mate, my German Shepherd, Riley. I’ve mourned aging childless, celebrated solstices and new relationships, the loss of friendships and even therapists leaving my practice.

I started telling my clients about it and it resonated with them! I have even created ritual for clients to mourn the death of loved ones or celebrate new beginnings and how to incorporate daily ritual with Intention.

I kept feeling a gentle push to share this in a bigger way…and decided to offer a group and see if it resonated with anyone else!

I think it’s important to move through your days with INTENTION and PRESENCE (that’s my word for the year!). These practices have helped so many and I hope they will help you too!

Im excited to share this practice in a small group setting and hope you’ll join me if this resonates with you!

We perform rituals everyday. From the way we make our coffee in the mornings to the way we get ready for bed in the evenings. We use them to mark important events and celebrate holidays―yet our modern approach to rituals only scratches the surface of its true potential.

Ritual can serve as a way to ground yourself, invite in the new, let go of what needs to be shed, and tap into your own inner wisdom and strength. Ritual has the power to move you through difficult experiences with presence and allow you to process in real time what is happening. It gives significance to our experiences and our healing.
