Dear HYP Community,
I have been agonizing over the past several days about the best, safest steps HYP needs to take to ensure not only that our physical studios are clean, sanitized and safe, but, more importantly, that we protect the health of our students and communities.

Ultimately, I don’t believe there is a perfect answer. I could certainly share all of the reasons why I believe the precautions we have taken are sound and therefore why we do not need to close. Or I could just as easily share the reasons the wisest decision seems to be to close our doors. Likewise, I’ve heard from many of you thanking me profusely for not closing, and I’ve heard from some of you who adamantly feel we should close immediately.

None of us knows what direction this situation will go from here, but all signs indicate that things will get worse, possibly much worse, before they get better. For that reason I’ve decided that Hot Yoga Plus needs to be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem.

Beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 16th, Hot Yoga Plus studios will be closed for one week through Saturday, March 21st. After this week, we will take things day-by-day and communicate regular updates through Instagram:

The good news is that we plan to offer online classes with HYP teachers through Zoom web conferencing, which yoga studios across the country are utilizing. We are finalizing the details and will be in touch ASAP with details.

I’m at a loss for words right now, as I know all of you are as well. But a practice of gratitude always helps. I am grateful for each and every single student who comes through our doors. My life is SO MUCH RICHER because of the Hot Yoga Plus community. I’m grateful for yoga and meditation. I am a better, calmer, kinder person with both of these practices in my life. I’m grateful for this journey, despite the discomfort. I’m positive I, personally, and my business will experience growth as a result.
