The American House challenge continues with week 7! The theme "Back to School" was a perfect fit for the start of September. What's one fruit that's synonymous with school? You guessed it! 🍎🍏 Our teams and residents had fun experimenting with different kinds of infused mocktails and water, including Apple Ginger, Apple Orange, Apple Cinnamon, and Apple Mint Cucumber! Next up is "Nature's Refreshment," and residents will definitely feel refreshed with some spa-inspired water infusions!

Thanks to AARP and Life Enrichment Director, Erika, Atlanta Braves superfan and American House Bristol resident Faye, experienced a Wish of a Lifetime! Not only had this lifelong fan never been to a game, Faye's first Braves game was a historic one—it was the first time a Major League baseball game was played in Tennessee, the state that Faye calls home ⚾

In honor of National Lemonade Day, residents loved the "Lemonade Lounge" theme 🍋 As you can imagine, from raspberry to blackberry and everything in between, there were many unique spins on the fan-favorite! American House Southgate is home to the one and only: Mrs. Turner! Well, maybe not THAT Turner, but very special nonetheless 🥰 Not only does Mrs Turner have a remarkable memory when it comes to dates and names, she has - wait for it - 78 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren! And, yes, she knows all of their names 😉
