LET'S MAKE WOMEN’S MONTH MORE HEALTHY!

As we bring Women’s Month to a close we’d like to recognize ways to help women be more healthy. We have identified 3 health issues for college women to focus on towards living a healthier life. In addition to maintaining good sexual health, working out weekly or eating a healthier diet we encourage you to also be aware of your mental health status, take extra precautions for your personal hygiene and self care needs, and remember to conduct breast self-exams regularly. If you would like a medical doctor's opinion or help on any of these health related areas, remember myURGENCYMD is here for you. More resources and information provided below.

Having Signs of Allergies, We Can Help You at myURGENCYMD

An allergy is a reaction by your immune system to something that does not bother most other people. People who have allergies often are sensitive to more than one thing such as pollen, mold, pet dander, foods or medicines. Normally, your immune system fights germs. This is known as your body's defense system. In most allergic reactions, however, it is responding to a false alarm. Genes and the environment probably both play a role. As a result, allergies can cause a variety of symptoms such as a runny nose, coughing, sneezing, itching, watery or itchy eyes, rashes, swelling, shortness of breath or asthma. In each case allergies can range from minor to severe depending on your body's recation. It is officially allergy season and we know how uncomfortable and difficult it can be dealing with allergies; nevertheless, we are here to help you get some relief.

Please consult your primary doctor or a board certified doctor with myURGENCYMD if you have additional questions about your allergies or any allergic reactions you may be experiencing.

Eating healthy can be a challenge for all of us, but it can be especially hard for college students. Crowded dorms, part-time jobs, reduced sleep, and added stress weaken immune systems. Due to these factors, vitamins for college students help supplement a diet strained from changes in eating habits. Taking vitamins daily are best for college students because they provide energy, improve immunity, reduce stress and improve your heart health.

Please consult your primary doctor or a board certified doctor with myURGENCYMD if you have additional questions about vitamins that are best for you.
