Social media is going to feel overwhelming right now—there’s just no way around it. But we don’t want that overwhelm to take you out of the conversation. Instead, the goal is to find ways to engage with what’s happening sustainably—so you can stay present without burning out.

Mindful engagement helps you stay connected without burning out. It’s about pacing yourself, protecting your mental health, and creating a healthier relationship with technology—one that lets you stay present, compassionate, and engaged for the long haul.

Relationships aren’t always easy — and sometimes we get stuck in patterns that feel impossible to break. 💔✨

That’s where IFIO (Intimacy from the Inside Out) comes in. Rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), IFIO helps couples slow down, understand their inner worlds, and create deeper connection with one another.

We’re so excited to share that Sarah Gray, LMFT, has officially completed her IFIO training 🎉 and is now offering this approach to couples. Congrats, Sarah! 🥳

If you and your partner(s) are curious, Sarah is currently taking new IFIO clients and would love to connect. Reach out through our bio link or at sarah@authentic-growth.com 💌

You don’t need a total digital detox to reset. Black-and-white thinking is part of what keeps us stuck scrolling. You can take small, thoughtful steps to shift your relationship with your screen without moralizing it.

✨ Delete one app for the day.
✨ Keep only one on your phone.
✨ Notice when you’re actually having fun.
✨ Swap phone time for laptop time.

These apps are literally designed to keep us hooked. You’re not lazy or weak for struggling with them. Let’s stop shaming ourselves and start experimenting with what actually works.

Which one of these feels most doable for you this week?

Book recs for new moms 📚💗

If you’re feeling lonely, overwhelmed, or like you’re somehow getting it “wrong”—you are so not alone.
Motherhood can be beautiful and brutally hard.

These books helped me (and so many others) feel more seen, grounded, and less isolated. From identity shifts to cultural pressure to mental health and parenting support—each one offers something meaningful for this wild chapter.

📖 Matrescence – Lucy Jones
📖 Mothershift – Jessie Harrold
📖 The Fourth Trimester – Kimberly Ann Johnson
📖 The Motherload – Sarah Hoover
📖 Screaming on the Inside – Jessica Grose
📖 Good Inside – Dr. Becky Kennedy

You don’t have to do this perfectly. You are doing enough. And you’re definitely not the only one struggling.

Tag a new mom who might need this reminder. 💕

Your nervous system wasn’t designed for constant 95° days—and it’s okay if you’re struggling more than usual. 🕶️

Whether you’re feeling foggy, frazzled, or just off—your body is adapting to stress, not failing.

☀️ Offer it compassion.
🧊 Choose cooling, regulating practices.
🌱 Let yourself slow down.

Have you noticed any shifts in how your brain or body feels in the heat? Drop a comment—we’re in this together.

Something I’ve been saying to clients lately is:
“I don’t know how anyone could be doing better while going through this.”

Because sometimes, the problem isn’t you — it’s that the situation is genuinely hard.

And still, we expect ourselves to be excelling, coping flawlessly, or “staying strong” through things that would shake anyone.

💭 You’re allowed to be in-process.
💭 You’re allowed to struggle.
💭 You deserve care in the storm, not just after it’s over.

The goal isn’t to mask your pain or push through for the sake of performance. It’s to feel supported, seen, and safe — even when things are messy.

You don’t have to earn your worth by surviving quietly. You don’t have to be “better” to deserve support.

💔🔥 Let’s get real about love… because some of y’all need to hear this (lovingly 🤍). Love isn’t just butterflies and rom-com moments—it’s work, communication, and sometimes, a hard reality check.

Valentine’s Day can bring up a lot of big feelings—joy, loneliness, grief, love, or something in between. 💌

No matter where your head and heart are this time of year, here are a few reminders:

Your worth is not defined by your relationship status. You don’t need a valentine to celebrate yourself. If you’re grieving or healing from a breakup, know that love and loss can coexist, and there’s no timeline for moving forward. And most importantly—you are deeply loved, exactly as you are.

However you’re feeling this week, take time to celebrate yourself and surround yourself with the people and things that bring you love and joy. ❤️

Starting couples/relational therapy is a big step—it means you’re choosing growth, connection, and deeper understanding. 💛

Therapy isn’t just for relationships in crisis; it’s for any partnership that wants to communicate better, navigate challenges, and strengthen their bond. Whether you’re working through conflict or simply wanting to show up more fully for each other, this process takes commitment, patience, and a willingness to grow together. 🌱✨
