CHRISTMAS CANDELIGHT SERVICE in the PARK
Join TONIGHT for our Annual Candlelight Service. It's always the second Saturday in December at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Help us pray the rain away this year! Come anytime during the day - most begin arriving at 4:00 PM and continues into the night. Many drive from the far west, set-up lawn chairs, and enjoy the annual meeting of those whose loved ones are next to theirs. It's like an annual family reunion. Christmas music will be piped throughout the park . . . we'll serve hot chocolate and coffee . . . and we provide plenty of luminaries for you to place at the resting place of your loved one. Remember your loved one this year by joining us for this festive event we have all come to love and enjoy. Merry Christmas!

Our Story

Hermitage Memorial Gardens opened in 1967. The pastoral 43-acre property serves the communities of Hermitage, Old Hickory, Madison and Mount Juliet, and includes famous burials, such as legendary billiards player Minnesota Fats and NASCAR driver Bobby Hamilton.

Hermitage Funeral Home Opens in 1972

The 2-story funeral home was built in the style of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. The funeral home opened on the cemetery property in 1972 and gives Nashville-area families a comfortable space to plan a memorial or funeral service.

In 2008, we remodeled Hermitage Funeral Home by adding a chapel with flexible seating. This allows us to customize a funeral service with an inviting and adaptable physical setting.
