Marysa here.
I’m so grateful for the amazing community we’ve built through Listening First Yoga over the last three and a half years. When I started this project, there weren’t a lot of spaces in Nashville offering yoga that was specifically tailored for trauma survivors. Since that time, I’ve had the privilege of seeing this movement grow and witnessing a real change in the yoga community. The Listening First Yoga team has practiced with over 500 of you since 2022! We’ve seen you take risks, try new things, and grow in your embodiment and healing. It’s been an honor to practice alongside you.
If yoga’s taught me one big lesson, it’s how to deal with change. I’ve had a big life change recently, and the small business landscape in our city is changing, too. Because of these shifts, it’s become clear to me that I can’t keep Listening First Yoga going as a business and be the mom, partner and yoga teacher I want to be. For these reasons, the business called Listening First Yoga will be taking a pause starting January 2026. Our December Winter Practice Pop-Up and Seasonal Yin classes will be the last classes we offer under this name, for now.
This isn’t the end of Trauma Sensitive Yoga in Nashville! Each of our instructors will continue offering classes in their own capacity:
🌿Marysa Manning will offer TCTSY Trauma Sensitive Yoga groups through Heart of Wisdom Yoga (). Follow me at on Instagram and www.marysamanning.com.
🌿Mary Beth Harding will continue offering a variety of trauma-informed classes through MaryBethHardingYoga.com. Follow her at .
🌿Kendyl Davidson will offer TCTSY Trauma Sensitive Yoga as part of her offerings through Resolve Therapy Group. Reach out to her at kendyl@resolve-counseling.com.
Marysa will also continue to offer TCTSY Foundational trainings online and in the Nashville community. You can find information about those at www.traumasensitiveyoga.com.
This pause isn’t forever: this is the best way that I can keep doing this work during this season of life. We'll let you know about any changes. Thank you so much for practicing with us, and we hope to see you on the mat again soon!
