Recovery residences are not treatment.
They are not halfway houses.
They are not group homes.

They are structured, peer-based environments designed to support long-term recovery without clinical services on-site.

When we use the wrong language, we create the wrong expectations…
and that leads to bad policy, bad decisions, and real barriers for people trying to recover.

Clarity matters.
