Nashville General Hospital is a steadfast symbol of hope- providing access to affordable, high quality healthcare for all.
We are the original community hospital in Nashville, now the healthcare capital of the United States. Even as Nashville’s growth has skyrocketed, the city is known for its friendly home-town feel, and we embody these same traits. Nashville General Hospital betters the overall health of the city with every patient we care for. We are integral to Nashville’s successful future. A truly great city takes care of its own – regardless of ability to pay.
As your trusted neighbor, Nashville General Hospital is your partner on the path to long term wellness. Our proven chronic care model is designed to keep people healthier at home and in their communities, reducing the amount of in-patient visits. Hope is just around the corner at our facility, which treats every patient—whether on-site for preventative care or a serious illness—with a level of compassion and professionalism that renews your faith in the hospital experience.
For generations, we have taken care of Nashvillians who otherwise would have fallen through the cracks. They continue to count on us, and we are counting on the entire city to help us keep faith with them. Together, we can continue to make Nashville a top city in the country with quality, patient-centered healthcare for all.
We operate a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognized at the highest level by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Our PCMH ensures a primary care physician is coordinating with the patient, the patient’s larger care network, the patient’s family, and community resources for optimal health outcomes.
