As we reflect on 2025, we are deeply grateful for the partners, staff, volunteers, and community members who stood beside Nashville General Hospital throughout the year. Your collaboration, trust, and support allowed us to expand access to care, strengthen community partnerships, and create meaningful moments that touched lives across Davidson County and beyond.

Together, we advanced health education, celebrated milestones, uplifted families, and continued our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care for all. We are proud of what we accomplished — and even more excited about what’s ahead.

Here’s a look at what we achieved together in 2025:

2025 Highlights & Impact

• PSA with Meharry Medical College, in collaboration with Mayor Freddie O’Connell
• Numerous community outreach and NGH-sponsored events
• Supported health Congregational Health and Education Network - CHEN community efforts through health screenings
• 300 health screenings performed by NHC staff
• Celebrated Nashville General Hospital’s 135th Anniversary
• Earned a The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grade “A” for Spring and Fall 2025
• Raised and collected over 3,500 school supplies with Bridge Builders
• Emergency Department awarded the Medtronic Sustainability Belt
• Partnered with Metro departments including MAC, MNPS, Metro Water, EMS, NFD, and TN Breast & Cervical Cancer
• Welcomed the 65th Cohort of Radiologic Technology students
• Nursing Education team provided Hands-Only CPR training to leaders at MOVE Inclusive Dance
• Celebrated our 17th Annual Cancer Survivorship Event
• Crowned our first BEE Award recipients and three DAISY Award recipients
• Launched Quack If You Love Babies with Meharry Medical Group
• Partnered with AstraZeneca to support Lung Cancer Screenings
• Crowned our 4th Employee Wellness Champion Lisa Sampson, RN — with NGH collectively losing 1,700 pounds over four years
• Hosted the 11th Annual Secret Santa, sponsored by Nashville General Hospital Foundation, NGH Employees, and Bridge Builders Program Inc

Congratulations to Justin Scott, RN, on receiving the DAISY Foundation Award for Extraordinary Nurses 🌼💛

The DAISY Award program began in 1999 and rewards exceptional patient care, superior clinical skills, and remarkable compassion in nursing. It’s given to outstanding licensed nursing professionals worldwide in over 6,000 healthcare facilities.

What an incredible turnout at our NGH Blood Drive! ❤️
We collected 21 units—exceeding our goal—and welcomed 9 first-time donors! Thank you to every staff and board member who took time out of their day to make a lifesaving impact. Your generosity truly makes a difference.

Earlier this week, we hosted our Rubber Duckie Kickoff in honor of World Prematurity Day, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us. Together with our partners at Meharry Medical Group, we launched a meaningful, year-long celebration and remembrance of babies born at NGH from November 2025 through next November.

During the kickoff at the Busby Garden, each rubber duckie placed in the water symbolized hope, awareness, and the precious lives we’re celebrating. This tradition will continue throughout the year as we honor every newborn welcomed at NGH.

Thank you to our community, families, and partners for helping us shine a light on prematurity awareness and for making this moment truly special. 💜
