Dan Maddox Hearing Aid Research Laboratory The Dan Maddox Hearing Aid Laboratory is a research lab on the tenth floor of the Bill Wilkerson Cen and Erin Picou, Ph.D. and Au.D.

The Dan Maddox Hearing Aid Research Laboratory is an audiology research lab located on the 10th floor of the Bill Wilkerson Center at Vanderbilt University under the direction of Todd Ricketts, Ph.D. The lab employs several other Vanderbilt professors and audiologists, as well as Ph.D. students in the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. The Dan Maddox Hearing Aid Research Laboratory primarily audiology

research in hearing aids, aiming to make sound accessible to patients with hearing loss. Research projects may include developing and refining hearing assistive technologies, evaluating technologies currently on the market, and developing techniques for selecting, fitting, and counseling about different technologies. These findings are later presented to the public through various written and oral presentations, to improve current knowledge about hearing aid technology. In addition, the lab aims to train current and future clinicians and researchers, enabling students to experience audiology research first hand.
