Today, we’re recognizing Megan Stephens in Case Management at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center!

Megan began her journey with us as an intern and is now a full-time Assistant on our Case Management team. She is highly regarded by her colleagues for her strong work ethic and the care she provides to both patients and team members.

Case Management plays a vital role in coordinating care, supporting patients and families, and helping improve outcomes across our hospital. Megan consistently demonstrates dedication and a commitment to getting the job done.

We are grateful to have Megan on our team and thank her—and all of our Case Management colleagues—for the important work they do every day to deliver safe, high-quality care.

💙💚 Living donation makes it possible for healthy people to donate a kidney, part of their liver and certain other organs and tissues, helping others receive the transplants they need as soon as possible. According to the Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network, the number of living donor transplants has continued to grow in recent years, with more than 7,000 taking place nationwide in 2025 alone.

HCA Healthcare, our broader network of care, is a leading provider of living donor kidney transplants, performing 352 of these transplants last year. In total, our caregivers performed 1,324 organ transplants in 2025.

Dr. Garzon is one of our leaders in the Emergency Room, taking care of patients during their time of need and providing live-saving care. Dr. Garzon is loved by our staff who know that she is dependable and has a big heart for both her colleagues and her patients. Dr. Garzon is a great model for physicians everywhere with her dedication to her work.

Congratulations to our latest DAISY Award recipient, Jon Pan, on‌ our ortho & spine floor!

‌The DAISY Award recipients are nominated by patients for their extraordinary, compassionate care.

His nomination reads:

‌“I want to praise one of my nurses. He went above and beyond to provide FANTASTIC patient care/customer service to me during my stay. Jon's entire demeanor was 100% patient focused. You see, I am a degenerative disc patient, recovering from a cervical spine surgery and awaiting lumbar spine surgery. I am a natural born helper, not a helped so to speak. It’s hard for me to ask for help. This is what stuck in my mind and heart after receiving care from Jon.

First, he SMILED at me. Every time he entered the room or passed me in the hallway, he smiled with his lips and eyes. His body language was always on point and spoke to his compassionate nature. Next, he listened to me—really listened—and heard what was being said in words and unspoken body language. Then, he got to know me a little as a person and communicated with me on my level. Jon asked my opinion on care and responded to my replies, smiling and chatting like he truly cared.

‌Jon shared he is a newer nurse. He seemed to laugh it off that I thought that was great. Finally, he encouraged me to keep telling my stories, offered me a hug, and then gave me the warmest embrace. He quickly got back to his rounds, yet never made me feel rushed or bothered. He did more than words can express to help heal my heart and soul in addition to my physical recovery.

Some superheroes wear capes… mine wears scrubs. I am grateful for his care and compassion and I wish that Jon would receive a DAISY Award for his stellar care!”

Paul has also had such steady leadership through change. He’s guided the team seamlessly through an outsource transition while never missing a beat on his own work. Always learning, always showing up—his willingness to help others and grow every day is what truly sets him apart.💙
